Dumbest thing anyone has ever said to you about your car?

I have an F3 Procharger on the race car and I had it at the GG show in Pleasanton.

Old guy walks up to it, doesn't know it's mine, and looks at it for awhile. He looks over to his son-in-law as says "Damnation, that's that biggest dam airconditioning unit I've ever seen, and look at the belt he has to use to turn the damn thing."

I can't resist---"Yeah, well my wife is pregnent (she was with our first), and I had to install that to keep her cool.

Old Guy--"Man, that thing must blow ice cold when you get it going"
Me, "Yeah, it puts out quite a loud whine as well"

Son in Law never says a word.

I've got a ton regarding my stereo but some are those 'had to be there' type of situtations...

Olds owners just ask for stupidity. Now of course most of these are normal, we just ask people to not be so persistant. Like the "Cutlass" and how our '68 isn't one, its just a 442, they keep arguing...

"You got the orginal 442 in that?" (Arguments rise, now we just agree and say yea)

"Nice Chevelle, Buick, Pontiac" etc., (Had Charger once)

"What is it!?" (Other times, people will ride our ass just to see the tiny letters on the chrome strip that reads "Oldsmobile" beings its the only place its written.

"Is that the rocket engine? or just the regular??"

"I didn't know Olds made a muscle car"

What I like the most is when I was still in High School, friends would ask about Dad's '68, they would look down upon the word "Oldsmobile"....untill they heard it!

I can't wait to get my 69 done...no emblems what so ever...

As a Mopar guy I love these. People who swear they had a 383 Hemi in there 65 GTX. Or prople that say they bought new in 72 a Hemi Cuda. Got to love them all.

Or driving the 69 in highschool I gave a friend's friend a ride.
Him: "Man I love this old car."
Me: "Thanks I love this car as well."
Him: "I've always wanted a 69 Fastback just like this"
Me: "This is a 69 camaro"
Him: "Really? Are you sure it's not a fastback Mustang?"
Me: "Uh...yea, pretty sure."

At a car show one time some guy offered my friend $4,000 for his completely restored 1967 Shelby 500. I went to to say that his car was worth more around 80-100k His reply was, why its an old used car. I stoped my firend from replying, so is your wife.
