Stripes probably centered about the drivers position in the car. Bunch of haters...

I just voted for stripes - if it gets any - that are straight and where they belong (whereever)....

Honestly — I don’t go to bed at night thinking about such things — when I dream — it’s all about the mechanicals.... I’d drive the POS with no body at all, for all I care.

I just realized I hadn’t updated this thread...... I must be getting old!

Motor dyno’d and is shipped back to SpeedTech already.

This is a proven combination of parts etc — seems Brian Finch - Chris Smith (Smitty) - and I have the same basic motor. Smitty and I have the same exact cams even and his dyno’d the day after mine — Here’s the dyno sheet.

THIS is not the final dyno sheet — it actually made 666.7 when final tuning was done

Ariel Atom!

Nice dyno numbers, too.

The body has been painted — most of the mechanicals re-installed and now waiting on the motor to arrive......

NOTE the nice work SpeedTech did around the taillights — if you remember from my YouTube video about the crappy work on the body that Ron Sutton and crew did.... the taillights were barely even attached (maybe a Sheetrock screw holding them) — and the holes they’d cut looked like they used hedge shears..... WAY BETTER NOW!!

I'm guessing this lawn mower engine might last more than a couple laps and might even get you some real Winner stickers one day.

The obligatory video of the motor on the dyno.......

Remember please — that there was nothing wrong with the motor Scoggins Dickey built for the car (pre-Kurt Urban being there) — it was RON SUTTON RACE TECHNOLOGY that ruined it —- overheated to the point of melting intake gaskets - temp sensors - oil slinging out of it and out of the dry sump etc - and continued to run it until it was hurt. Kurt tossed all the “SUTTON SPEC” crap - we upgraded to the RHS block — ditched the Sutton spec valve train (long story but suffice it to say it was WRONG) — and changed out the heads and cam etc...... NOW it’s a KURT URBAN motor..... Thank you my friend!!!

No leaks - great torque curve - valve covers work with the valve train etc — you know — simple stuff like that! LOL
