Default 4.47@ 169

My brother's (Turbo Todd Kitchen) Outlaw 10.5 91 firebird, 526 BBC, twin 91mm turbos on alcohol. Qualifying pass last night for a race tonight. It has been 2 years trying to get this thing ironed out, special thanks to Alan Dudley/MFI

What is that in the 1/4? Low 7's, high 6's? The conversion charts that I've seen only go down to 5.00 in the 1/8th.

Looks damn quick.

Hey guys, just got in from the race, Todd was #1 qualifer w/4.47 @169 last night, skipped first qualifer today, went 4.52@169 in second and final qualifer, but broke the oil pump somehow, the pump and gear slid down and wouldn't engage the dist. drive shaft so, we were done. Anyway, speculation, what a wonderful thing! with the single turbo the car would back half 45-47mph, that puts you at 214-216mph in the 1/4. I was talking to Alan Dudley when he was here about back splits/front splits. we are really close to his other customers cars, but I don't remember what he said bach split should be. We were thinking MAYBE 6.70s? But most of this outlaw racing is going to 1/8, which is fine w/me, 210-230mph is just flat flying on 10.5 tire cars! Shawn

Outlaw 10.5 is my favorite class!
I just wish the guys around here (DFW, Texas) would all get together in unity. There's about 3 or 4 groups that don't get along or can't agree on some rules. With so many different organizations the cars are spread too thin. What could be 16 car fields are now 8 car fields & the spectators still pay the premium 16 car field prices for half the show.

Totally agree w/you, Todd and I are from Broken Arrow, OK and would really like to come to KOTH race at Denton, but now may not even have the race. Todd has a email into the pres. we'll see what happens. This ET and MPH is @ 3000lbs that's what we have to weigh here, unless we go to TX and race King Of The Hill, weigh 3100 and put 88mm resrictors in. We have a race tommorow we have some thing to try, hopefully #'s will improve! Shawn
