Even gm says word for word the lt4 is 'based' on the LT1:

For clarification, I just meant further down the line in the LT evolution as the aftermarket starts to roll, I could see mark possibly even wanting to get his hands on this upgraded blower and collaborate on a custom engine build rather than going full crate lt5.

Carry on
Ok.. not arguing that it's the same engine family. The LT5 is to the LT1, as the LS9 was to the LS3.

Where I disagree is the generalization that the LT5 is a LT1 with "tweaks and a big ass blower". To me, there is already enough information out there to suggest it's a little more than that.

But it is. Lol. My point was merely that mark has already dabbled in the supercharged lt engine family for a car build, and that the lt5 basically IS an LT4 with a bigger blower. Now back to gushing over this car...

Can't wait to see what it makes with a smaller pulley, retune, and some e85

Yes there are multiple changes there that Are all Public knowledge. Perhaps I should have said the most technologically significant difference between the lt4 and 5 is the 2650. I'm waiting on gm to really impress me with the dohc option on the pending zora car.

Agreed. I also think the secondary fuel system is a significant change. Should be interesting to see where that technology takes the aftermarket.
