Default Hotel suggestions near Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Hey all, doing the USCA event in Vegas in a couple of weeks and have a few questions:

Whats it like trying to store a car/trailer at or near a downtown? primarily regarding security....car will be at the track fri, sat nite (if security's provided) but need a hotel (nice) with the room & security (for sunday nite at least). We go to SEMA every year but haven't dealt with the logistics of car transport...

Any suggested places to stay? (we normally stay at the Encore and am calling them tomorrow regarding these logistics)

Looking forward to it....

A few years ago I stayed at Palace Station when I went to SEMA. The Valet has a big parking lot right next to the entrance and a $10 tip let me get in there. I had the truck and trailer with car on it for the day before SEMA, then the day after. It was alright, plus there was other rigs there....but it still made me nervous as all hell. I even went as far as pulling the fuel pump fuse on my truck, just figured I couldn't be too cautious. I guess what I'm getting at here, it's an option in a pinch for sure, I'd do it again, but probably not the best option out there.
