The hinges are experimental right now and still need some finish work. We are working out the final adjustment and hope to have them on the car next week for the show. There will be a automatic latching system to go with the hinges allowing you to pull into the drive in, push a button, release the hood and raise it without exiting the car. That should draw the crowd over, as if the 800 NA horsepower rumbling through the parking lot would not grab enough attention! LOL!

yep - saw them

figured they may sell them without the actuators. I have no interest in buying the other guys hood hinges. But i do like Feslers stuff so i have my fingers crossed that Prodigy or Feslers makes 2nd gen hood hinges.

Sweet Frank... Looks a lot different than last time I saw it at your shop !

The stripes on the boot and spoiler match the hood perfectly.

Were you able to get the hood, trunk lid and other components covered in the blue CF twill, as was designated by the rendering? Can't really see it in the pics if so or not..

Yes and no. The blue material which was not really carbon fiber, but actually turned out to be dyed fiberglass, was VERY difficult to work with. And when the material was stretched over a hump, or dip, the fibers pulled a bit and you could see un dyed areas. So it quickly beacme obvious we would over lay parts and not really use carbon fiber to make them unless we used black and overlayed it. So we overlayed the rear panel, but by that time I already hated the idea of using FAUX carbon fiber. It just felt fake and ricey to me. So to top it all, Once the rear body panel was done I saw some weird color cast in it, almost mystic, but not a pretty change, and I got pissed, and tore it off.

Now the stripes are a gourgeous Candy Oriental Blue, on top of the pearl white is just stunning.

So while we wasted stupid money screwing with the carbon fiber (fake carbon fiber), in the end I think we got the best result.
