I'm running single adjustable QA-1's on the car now. The koni shocks i was running were just stock replacements that I modified by replacing the lower mount and machining a threaded sleeve and nut for the outer body of the shock (homemade coil over). The koni shocks were about ten years old and weren't adjustable, so I replaced them with the QA1 a couple years ago. The rears are a universal QA1 coilover, can't remember the part # or length.:)

Ray,

Thanks for replying. I absolutly love the way your car sits. I believe its perfect and wish to get my 68 Camaro sitting the same way. I also love the the over all look of the car. Perfect.

Im from Australia and am looking at buying front and rear coil overs for my 68 Camaro (Big Block) and dont know which are the right shocks and springs for it...seeing that the local susoension guys dont deal with to many Camaro in Australia. So i want to import the same coilovers you have considering i like the way it sit (but needs to accomadate for a big block).

So can any one else advise on part numbers/lengths/spring rates for it to sit like Ray's car???

Some questions for Ray:

Front:
Ray, have you used drop spindles for the front and if so what type and inches?
So let me get this right...you have used a QA1 spring and shock?? Is there any other information you can please give me so that i can order the right combination so i get a similar ride height.

Rear:
And also for the rear...you have used a QA1 shock and spring?
Are these off the shelf items with no modifications?
Seeing that the car sit so low at the rear did you need to 'C' section your chassis? and are the DSE tubbs just wider or are they higher to (e.g. deeper)

If you could please provide me with more information it would helf me immensly!!!!

Or If anyone else can help!

Thanks Ray

Thanks. I'm running Part # GMP13. It is a bolt in kit for camaros, comes with shocks and springs and should have the correct spring rate for a big block. I am using a stock height spindle.
The rear half of my car has been modified. It has a custom frame from the front sub frame to the rear of the car. The rear floor, back seat area, trunk, and tubs were removed and replaced with hand formed sheetmetal. 4 link suspension was also added. Rear shocks are part#UR5855P and springs are #12-175/350. Rear coilovers may vary depending on type of suspension, mounting angle, ect...
I built my suspension back in 1997. If I had to do/redo it today, I would be looking at a DSE kit. Hope this helps.
