not sure if i want to look at the battery every time i open the hood.where you guys putting yours at?

Trunk. There are a lot of mount systems out there. I think DSE has a complete kit with cables and everything you need.

It's less expensive to place the battery in the engine compartment (less O gauge wire). And it's overall lighter in the engine bay (less wire). Wiring up the charging system is easier in the engine bay. If you going to run some sort of cover you can easily hide it. :yes:

I like the trunk. It frees up some space to mount things like catch cans, breathers, ignition, AC...etc and not clutter up your engine compartment. I used a bulkhead in my passenger tow board and it was easier to wire up misc interior systems with less wiring in the engine compartment.

There are a couple of ways to do your wiring... going through the trunk floor... I've used bulkhead pass-throughs that I bought at a MARINE store (west marine) that tighten down on the wire and make them safe from chafe and also waterproof...

Make sure you use the proper gauge wiring... and fine strands carry more current than less strands same gauge wires.... WELDING cable works really well for this application.
