Their seller fees are outrageous!!!

So I get an email promoting their " first five single-quantity auction-style listings to be listed on the site in a 30-day period have an insertion fee of $0.00 for eligible categories " So I think thats cool you save a little bit on the front end. ( insertion fee for .99 would have been .15 cents

Well while they have me distracted on the front end they are sticking it up my rear end. 8.75% final value capped at $20

After the first 5 it goes to 8.75% on the first $25 then 3.5% after that amount. So if you have an item that sells between $25 and $525 you are getting hosed on the first 5 auctions.

I have not sold on ebay in a long time, and do not plan on using them in the future.

I was so pissed I wrote this and edited the auction I have running.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120493168580&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT

I wonder if the auction will get pulled?

I used to be a power seller on ebay, have purchased and sold many thousands of $$$$$ worth of items..... Bought a 68 r/s camaro, 2002 2500HD truck, 2001ss Camaro....and sold many coins and collectable items....Stopped dealing with them about 8 months ago, their fees have become outrageous, they no longer offer the discounts they used to, and they ALWAYS favor the buyer in a dispute...I sent them a nasty gram and told them I would NEVER use them again due to their greed!!!!...Another example of a company that was making billions until their greed took over and now their stocks are dropping...I hope the greedy a$$holes sink!......just my .02cent worth of rant!!!:censored: :soapbox:

I agree with both of u and see it reflecting in my swapmeet business in Houston--Years ago my ex-partner thought ebay would hurt us bad--Never happened---My last swapmeet I had over 2 dozen calls from new vendors totally pissed about ebay fees and they were looking for a new venue!!! Sold them a spot for $35 for all 3 days and passed 7000 customers in front of them on Saturday alone!! (and fed them fed them free supper on friday nite!!!)
I buy and sell on ebay too but i'm not liking the direction they are headed!! jim

Dink!!

I received this in an email today. They did me the favor of not having to remember to end it early.

Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because the following information violates our policy:

Due to the astronomical recent increase in Ebays fees, this auction will not run to its conclusion. This item will be listed on camaros dot net forum. Sorry for any inconvience but I refuse to be gouged by Epay.
