I'm going to sell my 69 Camaro and am ready to make the call to BOS and sell it through them. I've talked to Joe and he seems like a nice guy and knows where to price the car and where to market it. Has anyone used them or know someone who has??

Never heard of them. I surfed their site a bit. They have some nice cars, but the prices are crazy! Do they get a chunk of the sales price or charge a fee? Just thinking you might get more for it if you sold it your self. Good Luck!!

Looks like prices from 5 years ago. Maybe they've been sitting there that long.
I just looked at the site too. WOW! There are some nice cars but the prices are way out there.

sounds like they're pretty high as far as pricing, which is not what I would want for a consignor trying to sell a car for me.

If you get into an argument with the owner about anything you WILL NOT win. He will start bragging about how much money he makes which in his mind gives him the right to belittle you and beat you down. I know guys like him and can't stand listening to their pompous arrogance.

I've both sold cars to and through Joe at BOS. I can tell you my experience has been great on both sides. He offered me fair prices for the cars he bought and he was realistic in his description and expectations of what I could expect selling through him. He made the deals happen on both fronts and I was very satisfied.
Joe has an extensive network of customers both here and abroad and if he tells you he can sell your car, he will. I truly believe him to be a man of his word and he's very solvent - he doesn't need your deal to stay afloat like some consignors.
Donaz, did you deal with him personally or just somebody you think he's like? That doesn't sound at all like the guy I've known and dealt with on multiple occasions, and I'd hate to see him get a bad rap on pure conjecture.

Ive always heard of positive feed back from BOS. Although Ive never used them personally, one of our talented local shops has dealt with them a couple times.
Jimi- Do you deal with them on the Charger with Salvaggio.

Jimi I never met the man. All my correspondence was via e-mail but it was first hand. I started to question him regarding the authenticity of a car he had for sale that I was seriously interested in buying. I know my cars. I was right, he was wrong and that's when he started bragging it doesn't matter because he sold 20 million dollars worth of cars last year and his sales are up 20% and I don't have anything better to do than spend my time on the computer and blah blah blah. When a guy starts bragging about how much money he makes in defense of losing an argument that's when I'm done. Let's see if he can take it with him if it's that important to him.

nvr2st - yes, i dealt with him on that car and the Challenger as well. I also consigned another high end musclecar to him and it was sold within days.
Donaz, sorry to hear about your bad experience, I guess nobody's perfect and that sounds like a bad way to handle things.
To answer the original question, my dealings with him were good, fair and honest and I was happy with the outcome.

Every dog has their day. I wouldn't let one negative scenario scare me away from anybody. That being said, some people get special treatment and I can see you being one of them Jimi.

Thanks Jimi. I was really looking for some feedback from someone who's actually dealt with them. Talking to Joe on the phone I could tell he would be able to sell my car and get me the $$ I'm looking for. I could do it my self but don't really have the time and like the fact that he will also take trades if guy want's to trade a couple cars and cash for a car.
Jimi, if you have any other info you could share with me please shoot me a PM, thanks. Here's a couple of pics of my car to give you an idea of what it is...

That's an awesome first gen - I'm pretty sure I've seen it up close and personal somewhere. I see a lot of cars in my travels so I don't remember where, but the engine cover and name made an impression on me.
I really don't have a whole lot more info, I just wish you luck on your deal. Somebody's gonna get a really cool Camaro.

Nice looking car. Color is nice.
I'll be honest, not crazy about the engine/engine hat, but the car does look nice. Love the white interior.
GOOD LUCK!!
