Hello, I have a question, and I thought this site has a lot of people whos up on whats going on with engines these days. I have a 67 camaro with a tired 350 & 350 trans. I was planning on reguilding the engine to a 383 & then I got to thinking of a ls1/t56 conversion. I can work on all the older stuff but this fuel injection worries me a little. So what do ya'll think, 383 or save for the ls1 conversion. THANKS for the advise.

If you can get the money for the LS1 go that route. You will be happier in the long run.

Welcome to the site.

If I were to do it right now, I'd do a big inch LSx.

gsmith,

Welcome to the site. Don't let the fuel injection worry you. It is relatively simple, pretty much plug & play once you get a harness for your application and pcm. Go for a big inch LSx like Scott said and you'll be real happy.

Scott, what's the difference in the LSx motor Vs the LS2 or older LS1? Also, where can I find info on it?

Thanks
Mike

Mike LSx refers to all motors based on the gen IV block( LS1,LS2,LS6 and Ls7)
