I was looking for a trunk floor and related sheetmetal on the AMD website and found these:

I was intending on ordering the Detroit Speed tubs.

Just wondering if anyone has used the AMD stuff and how it compares to the DSE. If the DSE tubs are a better product then I will order them as planned.

Thanks for the advice,
Jayson

From what I can see on their website, you can get them both ways. I was looking at the pair as I suspect my outers are just as bad as the inners. I'll be replacing both anyway.

DSE tubs are the way to go. That is probably the one part that everybody uses, no matter what camp there in.

The Dynacorns are not as wide as the DSE tubs are.I think they are 3/4 inches smaller than the DSE.

Just to be clear, you have the AMD(Dynacorn) tubs or the DSE?

What is your opinion of the AMD tubs....? I need to buy another pair for my drag car. I'm putting DSE's going in my street car right now. Price wise if they come with the outer tub , it appears to be quite a bit cheaper and I would be interested.

Pretty simple decision for me. I used them instead of the DSE because i was hanging new quarters. On cars where i'm just mini tubbing i use DSE

If your sheet metal is good, you can make your own tubs.
Check this out.
http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/assets/pdf/67-69_Camaro_Mini_Tub.pdf

They are not quite as wide as the DSE mini-tubs, and require a bit of fabrication, but I've seen this method used on two other cars here in the Bay Area. Again this depends on how good your existing tubs, inner and outer are, and how good you are with sheet metal work. Not sure you can get 335's without notching the frame rails, which is shown, however the DSE instructions on notching and patching the frame rails is better than what is shown in this link. I don't have the CD that came with the DSE mini-tubs, otherwise I'd shot you that file. Contact DSE and see if they will email it to you.

Thanks, for the info. My wheelwells are shot, inner and outer, and the quarters have been replaced before and they are absolutely ****, riveted to the outer wheelwells, hacked at the base of the rear quarter window. I will be replacing all of it, so I figured I would minitub anyway.

Any AMD part that has a part number starting with and X is Golden Legion or Dynacorn. If you need some sheetmetal, let me know.
