After selling the Camaro, I've been looking at lots of cars on CL this week. The one in MT didn't pan out...just too much to ship and I couldn't find anyone to even inspect it up there. This one's in Central NJ, very close to the Garden State Parkway and Atlantic City from what the guy tells me. I thought I was going to be able to get down there and take a look but I've got a honey-do list a mile long and the kids absolutely have to go apple picking this weekend because apples will apparently be completely gone by Monday morning. If anyone is in the area and can look at the car, I'd be happy to compensate you for your time and gas. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks in advance!

Be happy to help, but not this weekend. It about 2.5 hrs from me. I do nave a friend in that area that knows cars, mainly 2nd gen T/A's. Does it need to be this weekend?

What are you looking to purchase, may know of some in my area?

Crap....Steve, I totally forgot you were right there actually. Just left you a message at the shop (don't have your cell). Please call me when you get a chance. Just call the number on my website under the contact info tab. Thanks!

67 GP convertible. Black car, black top, red gut with a 400. Pretty nice original car...a little big but wanted to get all 3 kids in it comfortably. I'll definitely be making some upgrades asap.

Way cool. Are you going to keep the Poncho power?

Big with style

Rob-that was one of the reasons I went with a Pontiac. If I want to stick with an old school motor, I can or I can elect to drop in a 04-up GTO motor/trans if I want to modernize and keep it Poncho powered.

Steve-Thanks again bud! I owe you BIG TIME! Looks like I'll fly down and drive it back on Saturday night. Shipping was $600-700, trailering it with my Sierra was still $400 with gas and trailer rental. For $50 I get a one-way ticket to Atlantic City from Logan and I'll be back in 6 hours on one or two tanks of gas...can't beat that.

I suggested that to Bill. Hes only minutes from AC airport. He should be able to pick you up no problem and drive it home. Make sure to get the temp insurance set up. Thats a long trip home !
Be sure to toot your horn when passing exit 98 ! :unibrow:

I can't believe I just paid $50 for air fare to AC! Talk about a no-brainer compared to $700 enclosed transport or even hauling it myself. Even the train was $160.

I called ins today so I should be good to go. Thanks! I should swing by and take you out for a beer! You going to SEMA?

Thats awesome for last minute fare. What time is your flight ? I dont drink before noon
No SEMA for me this year..... I am taking a year off. We'll catch up and think of something. FYI.... too bad you have such a long ride ahead of you. There is a HUGE 3 day swap meet and auto show in Englishtown (on your way home) this weekend. You could fill up that big azz trunk full of parts and drive home from there. :unibrow:

I'll be in around 5:30PM and then have to drive 6 hours home. It was the only flight that day to that airport. Wish I could stick around for the swap meet.
