For 1969 Camaro - anyone have any photos of where they did the pass through the firewall using grommets only and not a bulkhead for their A/C, heater hoses? Would like to know how it looked turned it before purchasing bulkhead if possible.

If no photos for those that have done the pass through, did it turn out ok or have issues routing the hoses to get them to turn without kinks?

thanks..

This is not my car but it is what I will be doing. My brother in law used black grommets and has had no issues/kinking. System works fine. Cheaper way to go, uses less fittings. If you havent ordered the kit yet just get it with longer hoses so you can keep the hoses hidden all the way up to the core support area.

Thanks for the photos, that was very helpful. I was going to run my lines that way as well and didnt see the benefit of buying all the connections and bulkhead when it would be hidden for the most part.....thanks!

Wouldn't this make it a pain in the butt to service later?

Do you have any more pictures of the install of the evaporator and the mounting sytem that you ended up using? I am nearing the point of mocking up that part and the running of the hoses simailar to what you have. I am wanting my hoses to be hidden as much as possible, I ordered the setup with the one piece hoses but now I have had second thoughts on using a hidden bulkhead setup just so that I can change out hoses a little easier if necessary. :) :lateral:

I am going to do the same. Here are a few that I have gathered for ideas on how to run mine.

I am going to run mine like this since I still have the blower hole.
