I just wanted to let people know as I haven't seen this hose mentioned before.

I just ordered some goodridge 825 g-max hose from www.plumbingmonkey.com it seemed like a more reasonable price and its not some cheap junk like some places sell.

I just got the hose and fittings today and its very lightweight and seems to bend easily also.
I haven't used any other teflon/ptfe hose before but from what I have heard it sounds like it doesn't usually bend very easily.

The part that interests me is that the fittings are olive free, they are more like standard an fittings except they do not thread into the socket they basically thread into the hose.

I have seen the hosewarehouse.com mentioned here before and it looks like this plumbing monkey is the same company only difference is you can buy aeromotive stuff and a couple other things more related to cars on the monkey site.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask otherwise hopefully this will help someone out down the road :D

How was pricing compared to Aeroquip or Earls? The stuff sounds great on their site.

Not entirely sure, I had a hard time finding a black ptfe hose and the only aeroquip one I heard about was fc807 and it isn't black so I never checked into it.

I installed a couple of these lines today and I really like them. It reminds me of the plastic fuel lines all the new cars have just in a bigger size and easier to use fittings.

I was a little surprised as I didn't realize there was not a layer of rubber between the braid and the teflon but the good thing is it seems like that may be a reason why it bends much nicer.
Fittings install relatively easily, sometimes the braid will bunch up when trying to put the sicket on so you have to take a small screwdriver etc to push it into the socket. The interesting thing on the fittings is that it screws into the hose not the socket, its designed to crush the hose outside ribs against the socket. I can tell you when you are at the end it does get hard to tighten the fitting and you can't pull it off!

I also noticed the hose that pegasus racing sell is the more expensive versions of this hose from what I can tell.

Hopefully I will have the truck running this year so I can give some feedback on the stuff but otherwise thats all I have :D

X2

We used it to plumb my fuel system and found it pretty easy to work with. I'm not sure how it compares price-wise to the Goodridge though.

I have some goodridge black PTFE hose on my car and love it so far. Best thing is no more gas smell in the garage!

Just wanted to clarify, I think pegasus is a great place and was not saying anything bad about them, heck I work 2 miles from them :)

Pegasus sells goodridge ptfe hose which is what you guys probably bought, the 811 and 910. The 811 isn't black and the 910 was more than I wanted to spend. The 825 is an cheaper version of those hoses with a polyester braid.

I'm glad to hear other people like their goodridge hose, makes me feel like I made the right decision!

I would recommend trying the plumbingmonkey site to buy the hose and fittings as they sell the 811 and 910 for roughly $4 a foot cheaper (-8) along with the fittings being way cheaper. They also sell the 825 which pegasus does not. I had a great experience with them and hope everyone else does also :)
