When I relocated the battery in the trunk, I did the following::
1) Ran the 1 AWG ground from the battery all the to the passenger side head.
2) 1 AWG ground from the battery to a stud bolted to the trunk sheet metal
3) 1 AWG from the firewall to the belhousing bolt
4) 1 gauge strap from the block to the frame
Maybe I am having too many grounds but I got the Idea of running the negative cable from the battery all the way to the engine block from Detroit Speed.

I welded a lug to the DSE shock mount channel in the trunk and ran my neagative cable to it. With subframe connectors welded in, this should ground all the way to the subframe. I also welded a lug to the subframe at the front and installed a ground strap to the radiator support. I know most guys on here recommend running a ground from the battery to the front of the car, but I've no issues with mine.

I bought a 70 about 6 months ago. I'm just getting started on it. I plan to build it very similar to the 69. i was getting bored and needed something to do. I have a feeling you know what I mean.
