Ive purchased a TR6060 from an aussie Holden HSV , and plan to fit it to my 69 Camaro.which is powered by a small block.
I need some help in clarifying a couple of details, has anyone fitted one of these to a 69 ??
I really need to know if I can get this box into the transmission tunnel without cutting the top out of the tunnel ??
Any other tips on fitting this combo ?

yes, and you have to mod the tunnel and get a driveshaft made.
Blake and the boys over at Speed-Tech came out with this. http://www.speedtechperformance.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=264/category_id=30/mode=prod/prd264.htm

NOT positive on the trans mission pad location in reference to the T56 but Prior to us coming out with the Tunnel mod above we had the ATS T56 X member T56 Cross Member (http://www.speedtechperformance.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=257/category_id=30/mode=prod/prd257.htm)
that requires no tunnel cutting.
Does the 6060 not have a 3 bolt rear flange? if so you need to convert it to a standard slip yoke style OR have a custom drive shaft mad with a slip spline in it.
hope that is helpful

Yep 6060 has a three bolt flange with no slip yoke, but worked out a spacer to mount a HD CV on that to front of custom driveshaft will fix that problem.
Theres a build thread on another forum with a 67 & an LS2/6060 transplant he bought a remote shifter from McLeods that comes out in exactly the right spot for the console, he had to cut a small hole for the shifter n massage the firewall/tunnel area with a big hammer but it looks like it fits, if the mounting is of a degree or so I think the CV will allow it to work.

I'm trying a TR6060 in a 67 camaro combo we are building currently. I just ordered the MGW shifter for the package. My next attempt is to figure out what the conversion will take to get it a standard U-Joint drive shaft in the car.

heres a link to an article about 2010 Camaro driveshafts...
3 bolt flange to adaptor,
adaptor to CV Joint
CV Joint in new tailshaft..

If I could fit the tranny in witha remote shifter n not have to cut the top out of the tranny I might do it..
This guy seems to think itll work'

The DSS drive line looks like a solid option. I wonder on cost. Looks spendy and is designed for the 5th gen camaro guys. I also don't like the 3.5" diameter. But its good to know that now.
I hope to have the engine and trans in this 67 camaro later today. But its not mounted in a standard position at all so my findings will be of no help to you. I already cut the trans tunnel outta the car as I know without a doubt it would not fit.

If it is any help, I ordered a driveshaft from The Driveshaft Shop for my LS2/TR6060 swap I'm doing in a 68 camaro. Cost was $749. I also used the custom offset shifter setup from McLeod, couldn't use stock tr6060 shifter due to fitment and location.

Dragracer, So apart from a hole for the shifter n supposedly a bitcof panel beating around the bottom if the firewall does it fit in yours without cutting the tunnel, up '???????

I did not have to cut the tunnel any for it to fit, just had to do some clearancing near the front of the tunnel near the firewall seam. I did shorten my frame stands to lower the engine in the subframe and also used CPP adjustable plates to adjust the engine position. I would have liked to go lower on the engine to improve drivetrain angle, but had to compromise due my dynatech headers hanging so low.
If I was to do it over I would use the speedtech tunnel piece just to make fitment even easier.

We dont have that luxury here, as cutting the Tranny tunnel would need an engineers report to register the car.
I need to be sure it'll fit without cutting it up...
