Finalizing my build and trying to decide on 295 or 315 tires for the front.

Rims will be 10.5" wide with 8.25" backspacing.

Does anyone run stock outer fenders, Anvil Auto inner fenders, and a Speedtech Extreme front subframe on their '69? If so, what tires size did you go with?

Thank you,

cant comment on the Anvil inner fenders (but u think they will limit the tire to a 295 maybe a 305) and what size tire they will fit. But if you used our inner fenders with stock outer fenders and the wheel you spec'ed a 315 is no problem.

You can run 315s with our (Anvil) inner fenders with the right back spacing.

Thank you Matt. I don't have the Anvil inner fender extensions, and still have the stock outer fenders. What backspace do you typically see with your inners and 315 tire?

I'm appreciative that both vendors took the time to reply. Thank you!

No offense I had speedtechs inner fenders with the extreme subframe. Do not do it the inner fenders fit poorly at best. Ended up reworking stock steel inner fender wells for a nice clean look.

WOW we install then all the time and they look AWESOME!! they are not a "BOLT IN" they are made to fit with some modifications. here are 2 examples.

If you still have those "poor fitting inners" I will take them off your hands:thumbsup:

Show where the inner and the fender lip meet. Sorry they do not fit very well. I understand out of sight out of mind. However for my experience was they did not fit very well.

Made to fit with some modification. Just like all your parts. True story there.

I went with 295s on 10.5" wide 18" diameter rims, 8.25" back spacing. Guessing at the suspension set-up, I went auto crossing for the first time this past weekend. No rubbing or anything with the 295s. 315's would be tight but I think I'll try them next!

You sound upset???
Your saying the fender lip area was more work to make fit than reworking the stock inner? I doubt that. But not here to argue.
The inner was designed to come out to the inside of the fender and drop straight down so you get the maximum space possible for compression travel under braking. The inner lip needs to be worked to provide more clearance with a 315 tire for sure but hey you don't have to widen the fender!!
sorry you were not happy with the product we have not had any other negative comments.

im sorry blake i would never recomend anyone buying anything from you before getting a waranty i fit properly before. if i buy something for alot of money , i expect it to fit . i have pics to show. but it would be better if you put up pics and explained what minor works means.

Here come the truth. Vendors build stuff. It all looks good till it meets the real world. For the cost of these parts they should fit. All about the dollar. Nothing about quality.

I'm not sure Blake reads this forum anymore, probably best to contact him directly.

Speedtech has a video up about their inner fenders.
I talked to Blake about them right when they came out for the extreme frame but ended up building my own.
