I was wondering if anyone has any experience with large shop fans? I am looking at Big ass fans and Macroair fans but I am open to other options. It is a 50x100ft building and I am looking at putting a 14ft fan up. Thanks for any input.

I've heard mostly good things about them. I did have a friend who tried to warranty one of their home units and had some trouble. Something about if it was installed within 50 miles of a coast (salt air) then they didn't warranty it. He was able to get it sorted because it was a new unit, but something to keep in mind.

Big Ass Fans commercial line is different from their home line "Haiku" being one of them. We have a couple B.A.F. 8 footers and they are bullet proof.

I second the Big Ass Fans recommendation. They move air like no other. Great company to do business with and a US made quality product.

I've been in big non-Air Conditioned shops in the Florida summer with Big Ass Fans - they do their job very well

Thanks Fellas, Sounds like Big Ass fans are the way to go. And Don, there will be no corn in this shop.lol The shop will start getting built once the frost gets out of the ground this spring.

Yes what he said^^^^^
I used to work in the VAB on KSC here in FL, we had 2 8 foot stand ups low speed high velocity machines, you could feel air for yards in that building,
I have a 40x40 shop and I wanted a Big Ass Fan, but with my now menial paying job there out of my price range, might just buy 2 72" fans from the big box store,
