coats of flat clear and show it off.

Believe me the thought had crossed my mind.

The car is turning out great! I just have one comment to make, most shops use scrap two by fours or misc. wood as supports to hold things up, these guys use solid chunks of aluminum. That is classic and awesome!

JA, Thanks for giving me my morning fix  , can't wait to see it at SEMA this year.

Any thoughts on color?

ja.stoner63 06-11-2010 09:33 AM

I gotta say I have about 1000 pictures of Mike Ring sanding, sanding, and more sanding. Wait make that 1200 pictures of Mike sanding.
I would have never guessed it was so much work to have an amazing paint job.

I loved the comment on the wood stands vers billit.

As for the color I will hold off till the Sema show IF I can.

I hope to see you all at the Sema show.

Awesome to see how much work goes into this sort of build. I think you kinda let the cat out of the bag with regard to color though in the one pic....

thats primer!

Camaroguy 06-11-2010 10:32 AM

What kind of primer? Is that polyester primer like Z grip or something?

waynieZ 06-11-2010 11:32 AM

Nice progress it looks great. If it looks that good with primer imagine how its going to look with color.

ja.stoner63 06-11-2010 11:58 AM

All that work on the deck lid and rear caps are for the carbon fiber mold process.
Then it has to be prepped again for paint.:faint:

JKnight 06-11-2010 12:58 PM

Wow, ok then. Color is still a mystery!!

If you don't learn something new every day you're doing something wrong!
