Final update for the night, and probably the next few days. Got a mock up shot with the intake on the block. Also a poor photo of the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) The adjuster is on top, the connectors on both sides will go to the fuel rails, and the one on the bottom will be for the main fuel line. here is how the plumbing will go. The fuel rails will be plumbed with incoming fuel and return lines to the tank. The intake will be plumbed with a line to the FPR making it boost dependent, a line for a pressure guage, and a line going to the waste gates. I think I'm going to have to restock my plastic round and hex rod, picking up some different sizes that what I have on hand. Up next I will begin the work on the brake calipers for the front brakes....should be fun.

alright, an early morning update. Here is a picture of the Brake calipers I am modelling along with a picture of where I am at. They are Baer 6S monoblock calipers. 6 pistons of clamping power!!

The plan is as follows. I'll master one peice. And make 4 copies and then create the rest of the caliper.

alright. Here is the "finished" Caliper. I feel it is a tad small but I am happy with it. I wanted to get some pictures up before I buried it in RTV. Here will be the process. I'll make a mold and cast 6 or 8 of these little buggers. Then I will go in and create the complete calipers with the fittings and pads and what have you. Also on a much more uplifting note!!! I heard from my machinist and found out what is taking so long to get the wheels done. We had a slight mis understanding. When I sent my drawings and my mock up I also sent a picture much similar to this

And I told him this is the wheel I am trying to replicate. Well, All I was looking for were some sleeves to insert my wheel centers into. He cut the WHOLE wheel. My girlfriend is bringing a pair of them home tonight for me to inspect and make sure that I like. So apparently this thing will be riding of fully CNC Machined aluminum wheels! total greatness!!!!

Here is the caliper

Worked a little bit on this tonight. I've been feeling a little BLAH. I'm hoping to get the rest of my supplies ordered in the next week. Waiting on some dimensions from various sources. I started on a Rack and pinion steering unit, as well as the front crossmember for the engine.

That's too cool. Talk about tedious work!

Finally something to report on this car. I finally got back to work on it a little bit. I've also been trying to hammer out the order from RB motion for the A/N fittings, rod ends, valve stems, and spark plugs. I took a spare head cast that I had and drilled it for the brass rod I am using for the turbo headers. Brass was chosen because of the following reasons:

1. I like bending it much better than I do plastic.
2. It can be soldered together for a much stronger joint (IMHO)
3. I didn't trust just plastic to support the weight of the resin turbo's and piping that will be hanging off of them.

The first 3 photos are of the scale piece, the last is of the 1:1 I am using for reference.
