Wow it's been a long time since I have had anything to post. Work and life getting in the way of the fun...
Anyway I have finally had some time to start forming the nose. First I made some hammer forms from MDF. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1485.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1487.jpg Then I made some patterns and glued some 1/16" welding rod to them to get the inner shape I needed. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1492.jpg Then I started shaping. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1495.jpg http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1496.jpg All done. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...d/DSC_1498.jpg More to come. Very cool Chris. Would be great to maybe polish up your nose when it is finished and powder coat clear....or black chrome....so its obvious to people that its a metal nose, even if its a different color from the car.

Thanks Aron,
Hmmm, a polished nose section.... That would be different for sure! I think with the changes I have planned for the lower valance (still working out the details) people will know it is not a factory piece. Of course they will probably assume it to be fiberglass at that point. Stay tuned. Chris |
We have twins!!!!!

Well I have been working on a Rendering.... Keep in mind I am NOT a photoshop expert (obviously)!
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...Bird_3_GA3.jpg I have been working on this for some time now it does not show any of the "special" things I want to do with the nose but the hood is close to what I am after. My pencil drawing did not transfer to PS as well as I would have liked but it is close. It looks much better in the pencil drawing as the openings are a bit taller. The hood is meant to look like a '69 Trans-Am on steroids. Chris |
Been away for a few Chris, so just getting to stop by. Looking very good. Car will be done next week right?
just kidding....lol. Trying to get some momentum in getting mine back together. |
Next week???? I was out tooling around town last night! LOL...
Seriously though I.am heading out of town today for a week so.progress is gong to be at a stand still again. Slow and steady though. Chris Quote:
