I spoke to Vince and due to my BS and width requirements I'm looking at between $500 and 1k per wheel (inners, outers and labor) to get em fixed not including any powdercoat. I do have a plan though and will probably get the HREs back on the car in phase two....

Yep, HRE's are tits for sure... but they sure do get ya on the back end as well if you need repairs, rehoops, or any refinishing. I put a dent in my P40 monoblok hitting a curb a couple years ago () and their cost to repair was close to the cost of a new wheel -- almost $1500.

I hope your paint job is better then some of the Ferrari's that I have seen locally - metal flakes not laying the same way, etc!

Funny, once I picked the general color I started noticing it on all kinds of cars. Caddilac and Mercedes both do a slick version as well. Talk to you soon Bro...

Thats is sweet looking!! Being so close to paint stage must have you pulling you hair out!

I've not really inspected too many Ferarri metal flake paint jobs. The ones I've seen did not look bad. OTOH, I have heard that this is a very difficult paint product to lay out and done incorrectly will look blotchy. Oh well, it's the painter's job to make sure it comes out right. I'd hate to have another scrum on this journey.

Yellow pearl would be an interesting basecoat Frank. If you know of any pics send 'em over!

As far as getting it on the road, what I want and what is reality are probably two different things. You know how it goes - parts delays, project mods (oh no!), my own slow-poke-problem-resolution-skills. I don't want to hedge too much, but if I can pull it off I want to drive this baby over to your house before end of summer. :lateral:

It was a later Lexus color I saw a 1962 impala with and it was nice didn't get details as to the year.

Wow before summer Dammm it. Must be nice!
Would like to see it I need some inspiration because lately been working too many long hours and first baby on the way no time to work on it. Im actually thinking of selling mine off.
Hoping not too

Man can't wait to see it out there!
