Oh, my near perfect front and rear glass that I screwed up with welding slag (don't trust poster board for this) is nearly done being resurfaced and polished. There's a couple grand out of the budget due to my mistake :(

The healthy living 101 brainwash has gotten to me :D I thought you were out on one of these.

The glass story hurts :( Parts like that for my car are a bitch to find I can't even imagine sourcing 57 Caddy glass.

I did happen to find that 3m stuff as well, after it was too late. :(

Nice bike! Mine's just been collecting dust for the past few years, it may be time to pull it out of retirement.

Mine sat for 18mos collecting dust till the HL101 thread and my buddy shaming me got me to enter the local Over the Hump race. BTW Cold turkey competitive riding on a single speed after the layoff was no fun :(

Glad to see the progress. BTW caddy glass is all flat except for the front windshied. When you buy a windshield ask for a 57 buick one. It is the same thing except they charge more for a caddy one.

INTMD8 08-20-2012 12:26 AM

Well, the side glass is flat, front and rear glass is curved and specific to the Eldorado Brougham and not interchangeable with any other model.

I can buy a new windshield but it's missing the 'bubble' at the top so it doesn't look as nice.

Or I found a used front/rear glass for $5k.

Wheels are finished! Having these built made a lot of things possible that otherwise wouldn't be. They have preserved the classic look of the car while allowing 19 and 20in Y speed rated (186mph) Michelin PS2's and also clearance for C6 Z06 brakes.

All of this should compliment the Roadster Shop chassis well.

Thanks to Larry and the crew at EVOD for the impressive illusion! :)

Holy wheels Jim, if I didn't know better I would bet money thoughs were hub caps!! You will fool a lot of people with those that's for sure. Way to go keeping the look and feel of the org wheels!

Now you just need some BLACK paint on that car!!! :unibrow: :_paranoid
