Nice progress. It looks like those pumps will move some serious fuel!
Thanks! I was just planning on running one and using the other to supply the surge tank, then the Hydramat and flex fuel sensor came along. One wouldn't be enough one e85 and the other wasn't going to get used anymore so overkill happened.
Finally got the tank mostly installed. Still have to cut the fill lines to length and hook them up but no biggie. Probably took the stupid thing in and out half a dozen times which really sucks to do one handed. On the plus side, it doesn't hang down terrible far and look terrible. With the Jeep on the ground you'll have to pretty much lay on the ground to see it.

I'm not a mopar guy, but that thing is pretty awesome looking. I wasn't expecting the overall look of that body style to change that much being that low however it did and looks killer.
Thanks! I'm not a Mopar guy either, always been an AMC/Jeep guy. Kind of hurt to swap to a brand x engine but the modern stuff is just so good. Coyote was too expensive and the mt82 trans sucks, ls/6 speed combos were too expensive and easy. The hemi came out to the right cost and was just enough of a pain in the butt that it's perfect for the build, lol.

More progress!
Hoses and such hooked to the tank. Clearance is tight but she fits! http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps0m2v2vw0.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psdjeq9940.jpg Factory fill tube hookups. This is key, I hate having to fill a fuel cell the regular way. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psi0iudomq.jpg Drive Shaft Shop CV style driveshaft for the fixed flange TR6060. Super nice guys to work with. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psk1suxerf.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psajrfaywd.jpg PCV catch can mounted and hooked up. Still need to do the breather side catch can. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psbaxoegrx.jpg Power steering (finally) figured out and hooked up. This was a lot more trial and error than it should've been with pumps, different pulleys, and fittings to make it work. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psbet5ivev.jpg Had to modify the oil pan because the factory drain hung down past the crossmember. I don't like playing those games. Played it safe and got out the cutoff wheel and welder. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pscikte07p.jpg Starting on heat insulation. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pswteuethc.jpg Done http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psz7zz9slu.jpg Radiator hoses were a pain, I ended up figuring out a factory application that would work for both top and bottom. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psu9pkjj5s.jpg Got a start on the brake lines. Clutch line is hooked up and bled. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pstycz1rlo.jpg And the clutch pedal finally works! This is the first vehicle I've ever owned with a clutch! http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...pstsisrhmz.jpg |
Looking good. Glad to see you making good progress. Do you think you'll have it driving this year before winter sets in?
Thanks! I'm hoping to be driving it sometime in the near future. The to-do list is getting smaller (picture from a couple days ago).
