Very impressive build! Where do you get the little rubber pieces and clamps between the intake tube and throttle body? I like the looks of the ones you are using. Also what diameter is the tubing?

customcam 03-03-2009 02:58 PM

The intake is 4" diameter aluminum and the clamps are standard s/s t-bolt clamps from www.theboostdepot.com . The rubber pieces are just that - rubber pieces. Temporary pieces used only for mock-up. Looking for silicone connectors that are solid black, not glossy, and a smooth finish but still looking...

Top Notch fab work, Those plug wires dont really work well with the smoothness of the rest of the engine they look to busy for me but wow going to be killer.

Car is actually Tims. So you can say its the shop car. Once its done it will be the shops parts chaser. Tim has a few customer cars in the shop and those take away time from the Challenger. Not sure when it will be finished.

Also "modified" and mounted the radiator. A cover will be shaped that flows up from the grill, over the radiator and stock core support and blend into the intake tubing.

The hood was also modified to clear the radiator and the stock latch and inner structure were removed. A 1" piece of DOM tubing with a large rolled arc adds strength and also ties into the round tubing used for the chassis.

I was very impressed with this car!! Looking great, and nice to meet you and your son also. I was friends of the "stang" and with Lovett and the 67 camaro with the 22 and 20" rims, silver..

DionR 03-28-2009 08:59 PM

Hey! Good to meet you guys at the show in Spokane.

I have to say that your car made the show for me. Wasn't much to catch my attention but I kept coming back to the Challenger.

Great to talk to you, can't say enough about the work you guys are doing. If I could make it work, I'd bring you my Valiant.

96z28ss 11-12-2010 11:25 PM

its not finished. He stopped working on it for awhile, but has started working on it again.

DRJDVM's '69 11-13-2010 09:55 AM

Like alot of builders, Tim has been focusing alot of his time on customers cars, so his project has taken a back seat....at least for now.

The car is wicked......

snowskater6996 01-08-2011 11:01 PM

What happened to this car? One of my top builds to fallow.

nvr2fst 01-09-2011 09:25 AM

Ned stated the reasoning for the Brunning build in post #472.

It takes a ton of funds and time to build the ultimate mopar:hail:
