Jason, I understand if you don't to discuss cost, but I would be curious how much $$ approx in materials (no labor) for pipes, mufflers and clamps.
I am going the cheap way for now on mine just to get the car on the road
but someday I hope to do a 3" with v-bands. It seems an exhaust system can be in the price range of a set of three piece wheels :wow:

No problem Tom.
I have about 900 in parts. This is 16ga MS with SS v bands. I got the material from SPD in Sacramento. I didn't do a SS system because I'm going to ceramic coat it all.

Do you have a link to those JCG exhaust hangers? I can't seem to find them.

It's best to just call Chris at the shop. He has allot of stuff that isn't on his web site.

That's as good as it gets, Jason!

Maybe one point: The fabrication skills in this car are worthy of global recognition. I can't imagine one gearhead let alone anyone who can use a saw and hammer that would not thoroughly appreciate the craftmanship displayed in Jason's car.

I would leave in bare metal and show that way for a year. You should have your own shop

Maybe not, but I heard your car is big news throughout the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

OOCustoms 03-17-2011 09:29 PM

So this was my first time seeing this build.

Seriously if you dont just clear coat the whole thing so we can all see the work, I might hurt something!!! IF you MUST have color it better be transparent!

But seriously, astonishing work! I really believe your setting a bar of quality that very few will be able to match and you should be very proud of that!

Good luck and Ill definitely have to check back on this one in the future. In the mean time Im gonna go play with airplanes in the air force!(ship in 12 days)

thanks again for the inspiration!

Well I can clarify that if you'd like, I live seven miles from the saskatchewan border.. A car like this would be big news, we just drive tractors up here.
The exhaust looks very nice Jason, are you happy with the DSE headers?

Jason I really admire your attention to detail. What you have built here is truly art and thank you for sharing it all.

I can't help but ask this, is there anything so far that you would have done differently if you could do it over?

Do you have any goof pieces laying around on the shop floor for sale???

CrossRamRich 03-18-2011 06:54 PM
