Dan,

We run a spec 15" Goodyear bias slick 25x11x15 front and 27x11x15 rear. It is the GT/GT1/GT2 spec tire. Mike and Frank use a 16" G19 setup. Our local class uses the spec tire to keep the class as even as possible. It is a great tire as it has good stick and wear.

Thank You that helps alot.

What day will you be at RTTC?

What kind of brakes do you have on the vette?

The Corvette flares were done well over 30 years ago and were hand made.
That would be why, after hours of searching, I couldn't find a source for them! I'll try to make it to the event down here to take a closer look, but on behalf of all of the interested folks, thanks for sharing the information. Latest pic that you posted is fantastic, it shows the body line integration really well, the best I have seen on a C2. Hell, I don't even know what I am talking about, I'm a suspension geek, not a body/design guy! I know what I like though. Bitchin.....

What a sweet monster. Hope to see this around the Bay sometime, and definitely looking forward to seeing it at RTTC!

Do you happen to have any more pictures of the dash installed? I am researching my build and would like to know what you did to get the VFN dash installed? Mounting brackets, support structure, etc... Thanks

I read through your entire thread and this car is bada$$, very well thought out and built, cant wait to see it done!

Here is a photo of when we first installed the dash. I will be putting the dash in later next week and add some more photos at that time. The dash was cut on the ends because of the cage. Maier Racing filled in the corners with sheet metal. They also added about 1 1/2" of extra material to push the dash into the passenger compartment for some clearance issues we had. Dzus fasteners are used to hold the dash in place. You can see some of them in this photo.

Latest update:

Radiator support and cooling installed. With some minor modifications, everything seems to fit nicely.

The dash was installed today. Next is to figure out where to mount all the gauges and switches. The dash will come back off and finish off the texture and paint.

I also took apart the CCW wheels and painted everything black. I was going back and forth on whether to black out the outer wheel. I really like the all black look.

Yes there is. Once the front end is on, we will have a cold air intake set up. We are not sure exactly what yet. That will be figured out at that time.

I have been in the process of gathering the electrical and plumbing parts. Assembly has begun and parts have been showing up the last couple days.

The gauges arrived from Speedhut. I wanted to keep as much as the original look as possible.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...b/100_6077.jpg

The speedometer is GPS. Very cool features. The tach was mailed back to be calibrated for the Mast M90.

The fuse panel was received today from Enos Custom Components. My buddy that is doing the electrical has used their products on a few builds and really likes them. I am impressed with it. The motor has its own fuse panel and relays. This one is just for the lights, signals, horn, and a few other items.

In about one week I should have more photos of the progress. A handfull of items have been knocked off the punch list.
