Trunk looks good unfinished, so I know the once finished it will be even "awesomer".

waynieZ 10-03-2012 10:30 PM

Wow that looks great! The man's got skills !

progress is happening, but its slow. i built the sub box and have started working on the dash. id love to buy one, but money is really tight. just sold my house and bought another. move in date is supposed to be dec 28th..... awesome since the holidays are already busy. the house is twice the size, garage is bigger, still 3 miles from the beach, end of a cul-de-sac, but my lot got smaller. my drive to work also got longer and i had to leave orange county, but in the end it will work out well.

dash should have some good progress in the next few weeks, but then its going to switch to packing and building cabinets. once at the new house its going to be a couple months before i get back on it. my timeline continues to get screwed up, but now the plan is paint in june and hopefully running in a year. its always getting closer, but still seems a long ways away.

The WidowMaker 01-19-2013 03:51 PM

well, no updates. the car is still sitting in my grandmas garage while i get the new house done. ive spent the last few weeks working on the back yard and logging 24 hours in a bobcat. once its done, i need to finish installing the 100 amp sub panel, my cabinets and lighting before the car comes back. i did finish the garage floor and it looks sick!

Widowmaker. Good to see you are still around its amazing how things get in the way. You know we need pictures of he garage. Sometimes, that is as important as the car.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for us chevelle guys.

The WidowMaker 01-25-2013 05:53 PM

carlsbad. twice the size, brand new, still 3 miles from the beach and the same price. things seem a little slower than the oc. its kind of nice, although i havent had much time to enjoy it.

id LOVE to see your car when done. pics look insane!

The WidowMaker 04-30-2013 10:21 AM

well its almost back in my garage 600 sqft garage. i wish it was twice the size, but theres no way to pull that off and still be 3 miles from the beach. heres the current run down.

- floor products from versatile building products
- installed 22 2 bulb recessed fluorescent troffers
- 100 amp sub panel
- 20 120 outlets
- 6 220 outlets
- 2 hardwired 220 outlets for the mill and compressor
- high lift conversion for the garage door
- jackshaft opener
- 3 air outlets and one additional drop

i still need to build 44 doors for the cabinets and finish the trim work (going to put some base, case and crown in), but those should be the last projects.

im still hoping to get it painted this year and get it running by this time next year. time will tell.......

Che70velle 01-10-2014 09:19 PM

Anybody on here know Tim? I know he's been busy with the move, and building a new shop, but I also know that he was pretty sick for many months, a couple of years ago, and the doctors never really knew what was going on with him. I'm hoping that all is well...

Flash68 01-10-2014 10:40 PM

I talked to him about that when it happened as the symptoms sounded eerily similar to something I went through. He did end up coming out of it and was doing well last I heard and had just been busy with life since. Hope all is still well also.

The WidowMaker 01-11-2014 04:38 PM

thanks for the concern...... all is well, except for progress on the chevelle. its still sitting at my grandmas house as i am STILL working on mine. brand new house and still tons of stuff ive had to do. couple that with 3 boys and a job and i just havent had any time for the car.

i still hope to get it back in my garage in the next few weeks. pics to come!

Che70velle 01-11-2014 05:52 PM

Car is FINALLY home! No time to work on it in the near future. Hopefully in the next couple months. Somewhat tempted to pay someone to finish it. ...... http://rs858.pbsrc.com/albums/ab145/...04.jpg~320x480

BigJoe 04-06-2014 12:32 AM

Your build is awesome and inspiring, I have grown up around cars but definately not in the industry as I'm in the service but I planning on doing as much as ican teach myself to do on my projects after getting screwed by a couple shops. Keep it up man, love it

Good to see this Tim. You've done so much amazing work on this car yourself, that it would be just wrong to have someone else touch it. You have totally inspired me to build my Chevelle myself. I hope that time opens up for you this year, and you get back on it. I'm pulling for you!

WSSix 04-06-2014 11:47 AM

Glad to know it and you are still out there, Tim. Hope you're able to get back on the car sooner than later.
