I think it's almost 10' to the u/s of the beam. Total height is about 12'

From a local contractor. I'm sure of the make or anything.

Killer garage Ryan. Very nice.
I like your T/A. That is gorgeous. That's an anniversary edition, correct?

srh3trinity 10-08-2013 08:32 PM

How tall is your ceiling in your garage? We are probably staying put for awhile and I have been thinking about a four post for storage purposes.

But it's the garage project at my new house. I ended doing a garage floor coating, garage cabinets and a 4-post lift. There was alot of legwork and other things that had to be done to make it all work and fit but it's finally done. And now I can let u guys know that I welcomed home my other car I'd been storing at my buddies house. It's a 99 30th Anniversary Trans Am, Ive always liked them and found this one. I've already done a host of mods including CNC 243 heads, EPS 222/226 Cam, Kooks LT Headers and True Dual exhaust, LS6 intake, TB, Full suspension, new brakes and clutch. etc etc. It made 425 rwhp and 412 rwtq on the same Mustang dyno my 69 was recently on. Anyways, on to the pics of my SW inspired garage :D

DFRESH 10-09-2013 06:05 PM

So, clearly the 69 doesn't leak. I could never put my 69 on top of that rack.

bonecrrusher 10-09-2013 08:14 PM

Nice ceiling height!

What is the blue tank thing on the wall?

Whole house vacuum?

Nothin but first class right there. Are you happy with the quality of the lift? Does it come up nice and even?

I've been getting alot of questions about my G-Link install so I snapped some pics and wanted to clarify what I think we did.

The shop did NOT modify the shock cross member bar or trunk floor. They only installed a shorter spring. I "think" they went from 12" standard springs to a 10" spring so I measured and took pics. Looks like the spring is around 8" compressed. So any who can tell by this let me know. I know the shock travel is decreased but ride height was very important to me. The car does not bottom out.

Also, the pics also show custom tailpipe routing around the G-link and stock width Ricks tank that is not dog eared.

Hope this helps:

So here's a brain damaged update on my car, I decided It needed new headers for better ground clearance. I planned on keeping my stock subframe in the car rather than going with an aftermarket frame. I was trying to save time and money. I have three small kids and a new career in real estate and I have so little time I figured I wont be racing it any time soon. Instead of modifying my Stainless Works ones, or having custom headers made I decided to take a long shot and find some older ATS headers. Which I did, these came from James Onelap Camaro (he sold them to the guy I bought them from). They looked ok in the photos but were in pretty rough shape once I took off the coating. These things have turned into a bunch of work I hadn't planned on doing, but anyways here are the pics. Before, during and currently.

WSSix 04-18-2015 05:24 PM

Nice score! You did a great job restoring them. How's the ground clearance now?

130fe 04-19-2015 05:48 PM

Those headers look 1000% better, what did you coat them with?

Rybar 04-19-2015 10:59 PM

They are not coated, they were electropolished. I used this place that's local to me: http://electropolishing.ca/

DKz Garage 04-21-2015 11:59 AM

Wow! what a difference on the headers..... they look great.

Flash68 04-21-2015 12:49 PM

Ryan, the headers look great. Nice work.

DKz Garage 04-23-2015 10:53 AM

Ryan... just curious, are you still happy with the G-link set-up you installed? I think I have mine at the ride height I want, but it took some cutting and welding to get it there.

Rybar 01-14-2017 10:19 AM

Guys havent been on the site a whole lot but to update you on my ride it's still alive and kicking. I had a lifter go on my motor at the end the season in 2015 but didn't know what it was until the motor was out and torn down. So last year at this time we did a rebuild on my "new" motor which cost me and arm and a leg. Once back in spent most of last year breaking it in and chasing tuning issues as it had some knock and we had s fuel pump and fuel system issue that was resolved with a new intank pump and fuel filter. I also swapped in some new seats corbeau LG1s and they are a lot nicer than the cheap junk ones I had in before.

Basically the tune and car with the new new motor was sorted at the end of last season so I never got to use it a whole lot. This coming year should be good I'm going to use and abuse it and will keep you guys posted.

Take care, Ryan

214Chevy 01-14-2017 11:15 AM

Good deal Ryan. Long time, no hear from. I can only imagine how when something goes wrong on our cars how it sucks the life out of you. Glad you got everything all sorted out. Post some pics of the new seats when you get a chance.

Dave Pratt 01-14-2017 11:45 AM

Glad to hear you have all those bugs figured out Ryan looking forward to seeing it live again.Where did you get your Corbeau seats from by the way?

tubbed69 01-14-2017 12:55 PM

That's good news Ryan, hope you get to enjoy it this summer:thumbsup:

Rybar 01-14-2017 06:58 PM

Thanks guys, Dave I got the seats from The Shop LLC

And to all those pms and questions I get about my suspension choice etc. To answer them if I were to do it all over again I would just order the DSE front and rear clips and thier LS headers which would have saved me a lot of headaches and money spent after the fact. Thier stuff is worth it, it's proven, it works and for the extra money spent up front you will save it down the road.
