Well ---- I'VE only done 3 track weekends ---- but it was used before I bought it -- Mark S drove it off the track -- Jody has hammered it -- and Charley certainly put it through it's paces... and Jack Mauer before that... so she's no virgin!

I'm glad you bought it. I would not have been able to afford to fix it............

Love that car.

Youll have to come to thunderhill the next track day we do and take her out again. It runs better now just because I own it..

Yeah --- Now if I can just keep all those rotational forces in the drivetrain rather than the body going round and round -- we'll have lots of fun!

Keep working on Schmooth input transitions, lines, and accurately utilizing those braking, apex, and exit references.

Dig your car..... the track is where it is at!

If you got away with only spending $1500 in parts on a dog box repair consider yourself lucky. I had a GForce GSR setup and lost reverse (they are super weak). Trash floated around inside the box and took out pretty much everything. $3500 in parts for my screw up. Mid Valley dog boxes seem to be the most expensive to repair. Jerico seem to be the cheapest. Used parts are about 50% or less than new ones.

Nice to see you spending money on it. Nothing like the black hole of maintaining race cars.

Don't the two of you just write those expenses off to PR & Marketing within your Welded Clill LLP? :D

I looked at Del Mar --- but just too tight for my relaxed schedule this time.

I will be at RTTC4... and of course - Grand National Show in January.

That's funnier then the helicopter comment last year

McGee says she's ready for me to pick up. Now if I can just talk Charley into becoming a for hire for free trailer trucker.... Otherwise I'll have to revise my hectic schedule if they're not willing to store her for a month or so.

:woot: :woot:

Without a doubt you'll get some form of "busy schedule sympathy" from Charlie. :D

Throw some plates on it and I can drive it down to Orinda and store it for ya Greggers. :D

And your probably the closest. Think maybe its time to add a trailor to your arsenal?

mdprovee 12-31-2012 10:35 PM

I have a open trailer if you need me to pick it up for you. It will only cost you a few laps. :D

GregWeld 12-31-2012 10:44 PM

Thanks Mike!

They'll actually store it right there for me... for a pretty nominal fee and it's insured while in their care and feeding. I have NO insurance on it... so I actually prefer it's in their hands.

I'll eventually get down there to pick it up. I'm just trying to fit in using the new place in Sun Valley while there's some snow on the mountain rather than driving up and down I-5! I'd have used the trip to Grand National Roadster Show to pick it up but now I'm picking up a '57 so I'm SOL... :D

It's a real race car (okay - track car) so it doesn't really count on this site - but she is a hoot to drive!
