I like the second render, seems more like the style that was originally discussed for the build.

Love the dash design (#1), but I really dislike that watch design. Rich guy watches kind of make me laugh in general though, you pay a fortune for something like that and then you can hardly read the little dial and it has a "power meter" so you can keep track of the battery/windup whatever when the average $3 Casio will last years and years on a battery.
Signs that you have too much money - You are drooling over the "self winding" watch display case in the front pages of the DuPont registry. However I understand that super expensive watches are very important else how will you let other people know you are obscenely wealthy ? Anyway back to the dash design looks really nice and really innovative. That type of gauge pod can be seen in the Pagani Zonda and the new Falcon supercar (tried to locate some images but failed). Looks hot. OH here I found one: http://www.gtspirit.com/2012/01/11/o...allery=3772#tp |

I usually just tell people -- you know -- kinda just get it over with -- and stop all the guessing. Then I had a "1%" tattooed on my forehead... |

That was the original plan until I killed it... it's just a "hot rod", not a Riddler whiz bang whootie zootie... and I thought - nobody would "see it" only the driver when he's driving - and it's just an extra bunch of stuff that gets in the way of the design of that ridiculous watch design.... |

Jeff -- It says "Your Mommies Oldsmobile" to me.... It's a little too new car smoothie... Since we're not doing a bunch of body mods etc - we want to have a couple of elements that stand out and say --- you know -- something like "rich guy with too much money and time on his hands". |

Those of us with several "self winding" watches keep them in safes like this... Just to make you feel better... I have a battery operated Swiss Army watch - and I keep it in here too when I'm not wearing it out in the shed. It's a pretty bitchin' safe... But only an idiot would have a need for it. :D http://www.brownsafe.com/features_Ma...Safe_4018.html |

That watch, and I didn't realize it was a watch for a brief second, reminds me of this interior:

here's an interesting idea, they used an iphone to provide the actual gauge then clad it in some machined casings, then you can call up other features etc as long as it just appears in the right place on the phone. from the 328 homage |
Wow those Pagani interiors are over the top but they are WAY too busy for me. I would get confused everytime I got in the car. I could never drive aggressively surrounded by that much "luxury".
