The car leaves the shop under it's own power for the first time in 3 years. |

With the alignment finally done and a new plate on the back, the road testing begins. |
That's awesome!! Now lets see some completed shots

Nice Work!!
i bet it feels good to sit in the drivers seat and NOT have to make engine sounds yourself..............Eh Eh :_paranoid can't wait to see it at SEMA . when do you arrive? some of us Tyler and a few others are going for a cruise on staurday night prior to sema? |
Very cool! I can't wait to get my car moving under its own power.

We are planning on leaving on Thursday morning... don't really know when that will put us in 'Vegas. You know the car will end up at ATS so a cruise Saturday night is probably not out of the question. |
STOKED for you James.

It's 34 degrees out and snowing... and I am about halfway through my first tank of gas today... Checking fluids quickly and heading back out! |
Is the car done? Interior, ect?
Drive Drive Drive!! |
What? No pics of it on the ground of a little video clip of it? Awww.... Boo hoo... Just kidding. Congrats on getting it on the road. I hope everything is smooth from here on out.

Heck - I even have heat! (which is cranked today) |
Man that's just awesome! Big smile for ya!! :D Been a long time coming!!
So what do you think of all your parts choices? |

In Canada we know how to drive in the snow...
and the R888's are fine all weather tires. But I will need more soon. |
Just razzin' you, we've had snow here already this week.:wow:
We're about 45 minutes from the Canadian border. I put 4 studded snows on a Town Car after getting caught in a blizzard, driving super cautious, 25 miles mph I still ended 3 lanes over against traffic, even with good all weather tires. |
|
Is that 92 mph already???? So my fuel rail trick helped? HAHA
I'm excited to see the car next week |

It's early - I will be the first to admit that I haven't been able to fully appreciate the potential of alot of the components at this point but I can say this: 1. The American Touring Specialties - Lee Engineering power steering box is one of the single most impressive upgrades that I have done. I would (and will) recommmend it to anyone and will certainly use one again on my nect build. 2. The Katech Street Attack LS7 is a beast. 3. The ATS Chicane front subframe is awesome. I have had a couple of dozen first gens and I never knew that the front subframe could perform this well. 4. The IQ3 dash is a bit complicated but has a ton of potential and the logging abiliiltes make it a great tool. 5. The Vintage Air heater works really well. There are lots of other things but those are the standouts right off the top... |

We're busting our humps to get the car ready; hopefully it lives up to it's potential. There are still some bugs to work out and some rough edges to smooth out be we have almost 80 hours before we leave... |
Congrats! Wow snow, it was in the mid 90's here Today. Wish I could have made it to SEMA to see it. I know your not in the Optima Challenge but will it be there on the Saturday after SEMA? If so I will look for it there.

Awesome job on installing the RS grill and headlights! Nice and straight! |

The car isn't 100% sorted out but I think that it will be able to make a respectable showing - my driving 'ability' will definately be the limiting factor more than the car's potential. I'll see you there. |

See ya there drive safe!!!
|
Look at that stance :faint:
James, Did you end up running the 255 fronts and 315 rear tires? |

|
Quote:
315's are on an 11 x 18" rim at the back and the 255's are on an 8.5" x 18" rim on the front. |
