Paint looks awesome!

Stielow 08-24-2012 05:20 PM

The Camaro is back from paint and at Sled Alley.

We also dynoed the engine Monday. We are a bit down on torque but made it up in HP

877 HP and 820 Ft*Lbs....:willy:

We have been hammer on the car all week. We have all the ABS brake lines in the car, all the chassis on the car and the engine and trans in it.

Still on the count down until SEMA.

Mark

Wish I had that kind of problem- "a bit down on torque". :D

WSSix 08-24-2012 09:02 PM

Man those are some fantastic numbers!

Sieg 08-24-2012 09:10 PM

Thank you for keeping us in the loop. Impressive #'s on the new motor, looking forward to seeing the chassis dyno numbers. This one might hook up better with more on top. Enjoy the grind.

Tough break on those torque numbers ... but on the bright side, that's a very nice stripe.

waynieZ 08-24-2012 09:51 PM

Blake Foster 08-25-2012 09:03 AM

yeah, and real numbers, not ice-water-in-the-intercooler-for-max-HP numbers. Repeatable as installed in the car numbers, and at a safe lower boost level.

GRob 08-25-2012 09:28 AM

You know I've always felt that a car with less than 825 ft lbs feels a bit torqueless to be perfectly frank.

J/k

I asked Dave Mikels and Brian Thomson for a bit more HP and I could give up some TQ. I think they did a great job! This is on less boost than Red Devil with the same blower ratio. We did not cheat up the intercooler water we try to make it like as installed in the car.

3rd gear roll on burn outs should no be an issue....

Now back to the shop to try to get this Camaro done. We don't race dynos.....

This being your 3rd supercharged LS install on a 1st gen that I've seen here Mark, I would think must have really have helped cut the time down on the install.

Looks amazing btw.

Yes my 3rd LS9 install makes it easier.

There are a few changes due to the increased power.

Mark
