The person I got it from had it powdercoated it has a hammered finish on it. When he told me I figured ah its ok but when I saw it I really liked it.

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since my last update but I have been busy doing other things. Starting mid June My sister in law comes up from Fl. to commemorate the passing of her son my nephew ( and God child ) He was killed in an accident being thrown from the car 3 years ago. Please always wear your belts! You don't want to put your family through what we went through from this. She left the 30th. the my wife's sisters and nephew came until the 15th of July. They took my wife with them so she could visit her mother in Fl. When she left I got the bright idea to surprise her by redoing the kitchen cabinets. (which I never tried before) The took me until yesterday to complete.I also did the vanity in the downstairs bath room. They came out OK for a first timer. The granite guy came in Saturday to measure for the counter tops. Tuesday I take her to pick out the slabs.

Like most other places the weather got very hot and my friend who is helping me has a bad heart so the heat and especially humidity does a job on him. So he wan't able to get over. I went in the garage at night for shortspurts and formed up a few piect to fill in the frame notch and tomorrow we're going to weld them in so we can make the last piece to finish the notch .

Here's the little I did get done during this time. Hopefully we can get back at it.

A little more progress on the frame notch today. Yesterday we welded in the first two pieces.

First the L shaped piece was welded in so it could be welder all the way around and then the top was ground so the next piece would fit tight against it and also be welded in.

It was ground smooth so the next piece could be fit and welded in.

Then I made the piece and fit it to cover the rest of the opening and Spaceman welded it in.

At the top he filled a couple of holes in the frame.

Then I ground the welds down to close to where we needed it.

When Spaceman gets here tomorrow we'll take a look at the frame connetors where they weld to the back of the frame and decide if we want to do them now or later.
Feels good to be back out here again.
