Hey Curtis. I never thought I’d say this but I think my Camaro looks almost as good as yours...
Great cover, I’m glad you posted it. It’s so nice I have to have a plastic cover for the cover... :) Don |

It’s just a clone that sat outside for many years. I dragged it home as a builder. Seller did believe it was a real Z28 and it took some time to convince him otherwise.... Don |
Things have been nuts on this and the car has been on the back burner for to long. With a few items off my plate and the overwhelming need for therapy :sieg: I am working on the car. It's not huge progress, but it's progress and I'll take every little bit I can get these days.
This is pretty much where we left things a few months ago. Jeff has been a great teacher and I can not express how much I have enjoyed building the engine or Jeffs help. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...P7x4DK3-XL.jpg With the crank, pistons and a BTR stage 3 cam installed it was time to install the heads that had a little work done to them thanks to Mike Norris. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...XkbBnwV-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...sKpDL6J-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...G3Fs3Sw-XL.jpg Once the heads where torqued to specs we rolled it over and buttoned up the oil pan. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...qXBQv49-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...fMWRhz3-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...zWHRvZs-XL.jpg I built up the intake (just set in place for now) and popped the valve covers on it's pretty much ready. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...fb3zcZ7-XL.jpg |
Things tend to get a little busy at Jeffs shop and last weekend was no exception. Jeff adjusted and aligned the windows on a 68 and then turned to the wiring on a 69.

I installed the clutch and then we married up the transmission. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-HKsTKmc-L.jpg In preparation for the install I had to drill a hole in the firewall for the engine harness. I tried to get Jeff to do this. He pretty much laughed and told me to man up. This is what I get for putting the cart in front of the horse and not mocking everything up before paint and body. I'm sure Jim in cringing right now. :twak: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-V2KBDTd-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-gTW2wwB-L.jpg Hope to get a bit more accomplished this weekend! Thanks for looking. :captain: |
