Hope the little guy is feeling better. There is no better help than a grandparents that is for sure. I am thankful to have my parents close to help out when we need it. Can not wait to see those headers!!!

Well I got in last night from my grandson sitting ( too old to say Baby sitting) duties in Virginia. I did some stuff around the house and finnally got to go pick up my headers at UPS. They got in last week while I was away and no one was here to sign for them, so I had them hang on to them so I could get them when I got back.
They went to Jet Hot for thier 2500 degree coating. They look nice I had them do the titanium color. The finish is a lot rougher than the ceramicoat finish. It feels like a 120 or 150 grit sand paper. I like it. I'm not sure how they will be if they need cleaning because of the rough surface. I only had a few minutes so I only got a few pictures of one header. I'll try to get more and better ones tomorrow.

The second 02 bung is to be used by the tuner and will be capped after it's tuned.

This bung is the one that came on the headers and doesn't have any clearance needed to fit the sensor with the 4l85.

The true color is much darker than it showed out in the sun and I like the darker color.

Before I left for Va. I ordered a Finch fuel/rear end, overflow canister to vent my fuel tank. It came in while I was away. It looks like a nice piece.

Finally got in the garage for a while this morning. We put some fluid in the converter and installed it on the trans. Then we dropped the motor back in it. It's been in and out so many time I think it knows the way on its own. This is the firs ttime in quite a while you can walk without feeling like your driving through the cones.

I got the headers bolted up yesterday. Then I put the oil filter back in to measure for the oil cooler lines. I made up the return line from the oil filter to the motor. I bought a kit to pressure test the hoses before I put them in, so I did the hose and left it over night. Still pressurized this morning. Good to go.

Not much to see but here's the hose

Wow! Looking good! Your headers are woven nicely into the engine bay.. looks tight to the control arm, but it all fits and looks great. The FINCH canister is a great addition... I gotta get mine ordered as well! I had one in JADED and it solved two problems very elegantly!

The car is looking great and I love the progress. Keep knocking things down in chips like that and you'll be driving in no time!

Looks great Wayne. I had a set of headers done in the same coating, but in flat black, many years back. They were rough to the touch as well, and oddly enough the coating flaked after one race weekend. Took them back, and they recoated them in the ceramic/ aluminum look, ( different material altogether) and never had any other issues out of that set. Hopefully they figured out the issues since then, and yours will be fine.
This is the final install this time for the engine, I presume? You'll be driving it before you know it.
