Throw back Sunday?

Back before Dave was married, he used his car to pick up chicks... true story

Taken at a real race track with a running Camaro that wants to be a Mustang...

You sure it wasn't just rolled off the trailer in the background of the picture? :)

Not a surprising question. Though the big surprise is that I can say definitively that Dave drove the car on track including kicking my ass...

Not to worry, he was kind of young and showered back in those days. :relax: :D Now that he has something to live for, he'll be on the brakes before the first pylon.

You might be right. Sounds like a good Gaetano-ish excuse to have in the bag anyway.

Todd,

I think steady watching of Melrose Place could mess any build up. I wonder what it would take to get Flash to admit to it?

:D

glassman 08-23-2015 09:05 AM

All it takes is time and money...oh wait, are we talking about cars or kids?

Close. But it's just the end of this chapter.

The next one begins now.... stay tuned. Or not.

This is turning out to be a quite a novel. :D

WSSix 10-01-2015 07:22 AM

You tease! Only one picture? At least the car is sitting on the ground. It looks pretty badass I think. Congrats!

glassman 10-01-2015 11:56 AM

Not to be too critical here, i dont know if slicks work well on dirt...sure would be fun to try....

Why is everyone so excited? Are you guys really that happy that Dave had decided to abandon his car in some dirt lot?

57hemicuda 10-01-2015 02:59 PM

A collaboration of great minds are about to converge upon this great ride. This is going to be a great weekend as long as Hurricane Joaquin doesn't bring down our flights. I'd hate for something named Joaquin to be the thing that kills me.

I see beer in your future.....

You guys have a good time and don't get killed.

Vegas69 10-01-2015 06:52 PM

So we've established the car is a mutt and CA is in a drought.

I hope you are getting ready to beat up some pavement and rubber with that bad boy....

So many cars built --- so few actually used....

If you got the guts anything can work on dirt. Although the words "slip sliding away" come to mind :drive: I'm willing to give it a try

glassman 10-02-2015 01:47 PM

I was being facisious lol...i know the "turn right to go left" routine from my hi flyin' race car days at 6 years old on a big wheel going down a steep driveway onto the sidewalk...but I though this Camaro thingy was for the "asphalt" tracks

rustomatic 10-03-2015 07:59 AM

Am I supposed to sense drama here, or just a large bill for what looks like a mostly empty trailer?

If Ron the human hotwrench is getting involved however, this thing might actually experience progress, so long as he does not require water . . .

Big pow wow meeting on the east coast this weekend... with said owner and ANOTHER new builder (I've lost count)... so stay tuned for another couple of years of nothingness.

GregWeld 10-03-2015 08:09 AM

Stay tuned for pictures of various micro brews consumed, and perhaps some action video of garbage can racing....

Ah damn! I thought maybe all the fab was done and it was going back together to be driven :(

GregWeld 10-03-2015 08:17 AM

I think headlights and windshield wipers are a California requirement for being "street legal"... This is a Street Car, right?? LOL

On a positive note, Dave has now put about 3000 miles on (or rather under) the car this year . . .
