Just make sure you get the engine before the transmission. Depending on which manifold you choose, setting the engine back will be... difficult. The Boss and Cobra Jet manifold are very tall. Basically everything except the stock manifold will be hard to package. The Boss 302 engine in my '65 sticks up about .25"-.5" above the cowl, and at least in my case, there is no way to drop the engine down enough to fit it under the cowl.

I will definitely be getting the first! Thanks for the info! Hopefully I will have just enough room to move the coyote back. I know the 67-68 mustangs are a bit bigger but not sure how much in the cowl and engine compartment.

updates coming soon!!

So after a looooong time of having the car sitting its time to get back to work on the mustang!! I sold my house and have some extra funds for the project! plan on getting the suspension bolted on and dialed in. also decided that I'm going to cut out the cage after I noticed some clearance issues and some other issues. going to have a local guy who is a badass fabricator bend and weld me up a new one!!

Finally have the project going with some momentum!! Got the car into Seret Speed to start all the custom metal work. Matt Seret(owner) is a metal shaping wizard! He only does metal work no body work or paint. It's so exciting to bring all my designs and ideas to real life. Cut out the old cage before the work began. here is a list of the modifications

* Removed and metal finished gas cap and key hole on a Dynacorn steel 1967 Shelby tail light panel

* Recessed a LeMans style gascap

* Cut out qurter panel to roof seam made patch panels from scratch and metal finished

* widened the quarter panels 1.75" on each side

* pulled out the tail light panel 1" the trunk overhung the tail light panel and looked horrible so we pulled it out and now the tail light panel overhangs the trunk by a 1/8". Looks a whole lot better!!

I spent weeks months trying different rear spoiler designs. I wanted something that flowed with the lines of the fastback. I'm really happy on how the spoiler came out!!! Matt's metal work is badass!!

Also narrowed, lowered, welded bumper brackets, shaved bumper bolts and sharpened the lines on the bumper!
