I still think this car needs a rear spoiler and the grille needs to be painted body color.
I don't think it's worth the $$$, but that's why were all building our own cars, so we can make them the way we like them. I do really like the Unique "Eleanor" mustangs, but those have a status symbol of being famous from the movie, this car has Foose's name attached to it. Interesting to see what happens.... |

I didn't (and won't) have power brakes.. car stops fine.. Other than that, I agree.. |

But I would be happy to pay for these parts.. they are just so freakin sweet.. :hail: The car looks 100% better than it did at Columbus good guys (where I pointed out the lameness of the windshield wiper motor to the lead guy).. I am glad the Covans dash is gone on such and expensive car and I am really glad they have the Marques lights (did they add the side marker ones also?) I want to see the car with the magnacharged LS2.. |

I used to have to be extremely conservative with my following distance on the freeway (not easy, since when you back way off of the car in front of you, in pops another car to fill the void!) On my present car, the C5 stuff does a great job, but the addition of the hydroboost unit was just unreal. It's like "nitrous for your brakes!"...I found it to be a worthwhile addition mostly for the "real world driving" concern noted above. Many others who rarely drive on freeways (esp ones like our CA freeways!) may not need the extra peace of mind. Just my $.02 -Rob |
Yeah the rockers are a Foose thing. i have seen him do that to several cars. I don't see anything different about the rear except for the addition of the lights and the exhaust cutouts. The front looks the same to me except for the wide bars he put in the grill, which still needs to be painted body color to look right. Am I missing something I haven't seen?

Mike I was looking at the front lower valence panel, the parking light holes have been re-done (the lip around them looks somewhat "fatter" and the holes themselves smaller) and also the chin spoiler looks to be a fabricated piece that is mounted a bit more forward of the usual location and it is therefore contoured to the shape of the lower valence...tough to explain...in short, it looks like some work was done there but you really don't notice it too much, I'm not sure that it looks any better than the GM chin spoiler..(IMHO)...

Like I said.. car looks better now than at Columbus and hopefully it will keep evolving till the final product.. |
Hate the paint scheme...... when I first saw the pix, my first impression was that they hadnt finnished painting it yet !!!! It has random panels that are different colors and it makes it look like they are trial fitting parts. Not to mention that the blue pinstrip reminds me of 3M paint masking tape.....
I also hate the "rings" in the upholstery..... The custom panel work on the valance and rockers is nice and the door handles rock........ Decent car but I can name at least 8-10 on here alone that surpasss this car. |
Hey Ned
I think those door handles may actually be circa 1940 plymouth? Not sure. I will have to ask some of my geezer street rod buddies... I hated the paint scheme also. I did think the GT-40 style upholstery w/grommets was kinda neat and different, tho not something I'd do. I suppose that the grommets might help to ventilate emissions that may be discharged shortly after a quick stop at the taco stand... |
