Hey Mike,
I mentioned this on the other board, but I will most likely have to bow out of the karting after ER surgery last night to remove a pesky appenix. Still making the trip though at this point, so see y'all out there. Mike Norris |

I've withdrawn my entry because of surgery and boy am I glad I did.
I've been laying down fulltime for 5 days straight in level 10 pain. Anything vertical or even sitting on the toilet causes my spinal fluid to drain out of my skull and into my cavity, which causes a massive ****ing headache within 5-15 seconds of trying to stand up or sit up. It has SUCKED. Hands down the gnarliest thing I've experienced and I would never wish this amount of pain on anyone. Tonights the first time i'm showing signs of improvement (able to situp kinda to use laptop). I hope it continues tomorrow. Insanely bored and I'd like to get back to work. I definitely have a week or maybe 2-3 even of recovery, so I'm glad I have two RC models to build to build. A Austin Mini racing kit thats FWD and an R34 AWD kit from tamiya. LOVED bulding these when I was little. Great projects while I recover.I even have the metallic black paint for the mini kit, gold for the wheels and chrome etc. Someone take my spot at this event! |

I never really thought about how invasive the surgery was until the recovery period. Oh boy... Spinal work is scary. |

Thanks so much to everyone that came out to El Toro yesterday, both participants and volunteers. As I said at the event, the volunteers are the most important part of the event. Everyone be sure and label Mr. Weld as CONE MAN! He certainly earned that title yesterday.....haha
Safe travel Greg, we will talk to you soon. Congrats to Brian Finch as the overall winner of the event, now King of the Coast! and to all the other winners. Our new contingency program is in full swing now, three participants will be getting money by just showing up, registering and running BFG KDWs yesterday....SWEET! OK, out of here, headed to the cruise! |
Congrats Brian...
