car looks great. It is amazing how fast you got all that metal work done. Did you ever contemplate using quarter skins as apposed to the full quarters? Just curious cause I'm debating on using full quarters or just do the skins.

Car is looking great. Not to keep bringing the Silicon Brazing up but it just amazes me. From working in body shops in the past, we never used anything like this. I assume that Dan is brazing over the entire gap and just cutting the body line back in with something like a cut off wheel or whatever. Here is an article on silicon bronze filler that I found interesting and informing, http://metalshapers.org/101/covell/c...ilbronze.shtml. You mentioned that he uses TIG to lay it down but from the article, there are a few options. Any further information that you could share would be great as I would like to try this on my build.
Thanks, |
Looks fantastic! I like the outline of the build too!!!

Go with AMD full quarters. You will be glad you did after everything is done. |

Derek..Dan did weld entire gap and recut with cut off wheel. Feel free to call Dan. His # is (704) 450-0607. I dont know much about it except he has done silicon brazing for many years at Rad Rides and DSE before opening his own shop. |
