I got the motor back from the engine shop last week and started making the KRC Power Steering pump mount, that's the bad part about making something like that Billet Timing cover, you have to make all the accessory stuff to go with it. The bracket still need's sanded and polished but everything is mocked up except the 30" 6 groove belt. I also got the timing cover drilled and tapped and mounted the modified Chevy adjustable Billet timing pointer. Once my Billet Tech 170 Amp Alternator arrives I can start working on mounting that also. Thanks for looking.

I had to make a riser for my Aeromotive fuel pump system, my tank was about 1/2" short once I added the filter to the bottom, so I took a 1" block and milled it out then welded it in place of the Carb sump and return the tank came with. I had previously made a fuel inlet and added a provision for the fuel level sender ( second pic)....that still may change so I can use a floatless level.

Fed Ex delivered my BilletTech Alternator today....now I just have to start making some brackets to mount the darn thing, this may be a little more involved that the Power Steering, my only concern down low is it interfering with the lower Radiator hose and the routing of it to the Radiator, There's about 5" between the outlet and the Alternator so I should have plenty of room to route something. Out of curiosity I thought about mounting it on the Drivers side cylinder head and also tried putting it where the Water Pump is and going with a remote mount pump for cooling but in the end I decided that passenger side down low looks best. I'm really impressed with this Alternator, Check out the output of this thing.....146 Amps@800 RPM and 174 Amps@1800 RPM !!!

I also re-made the Power steering bracket and trimmed it down quite a bit.

Personally, I like it low on the passenger-side. Your engine compartment will look very clean with it mounted low.
Will you be adding another belt, or are you trying to turn everything with a single belt. --Eric |
nice color combo! Everytime I wash my ram 1500 I think those bumper cut outs would look good on other cars, now I know! Nice work
