I do like the Plum Crazy / In Violet much better than the green. Good choice.

The pictures of the underside have me :headscratch: . I'm not used to looking at cars from that view, my jack doesn't go high enough!
I've got a couple questions about the frame rails that tie into the front subframe and the torque boxes. Near the torque box, is the rail notched and than the TB is plated? TB, frame rail and cross member all tied in together...is that right? The rail running through the floor, is that just welded to the floor pan top and bottom? Easy cheesy? Car and the fabrication look great:thumbsup: Who cares what the drama queens have to say about what you're building:catfight: I've been through the same deal. I took a 1 owner, low mileage 1978 Cougar and made it a targa top and turned the trunk into a rumble seat, people were not happy!:lmao:  Dan |
Cris,
One question. Will this car driven hard and appreciated by the customer or is it just a one shot deal and then sold? If so, since you stated it was not all that original I am probably back on board. I still don't agree with cutting up a V code car since other options are easily available (no excuses here-there are other options) and if they can afford a pro-build they can afford other options (again no excuses on this no matter what is said---same goes for the LS motor-all motors are an air pump---a new 3G hemi can flow massive air probably better than an LS but more costly since less mainstream-pay up like all of us Mopar fools do :G-Dub: ) but I do want to see it through and see what you have in store for the final product. :D Nice build by the way---even if it goes against the grain and my wish to save a car like this. I like the stance and attitude of the car! Wes |
IF I COME TO THIS THREAD LOOKING FOR UPDATES AND PICS BECAUSE I APPRECIATE THIS BUILD AND HEAR READ ONE MORE PERSON CRYING ABOUT, "I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CUT AN ORIGINAL "V" CAR," I'M GONNA F#@KING SCREAM MY LUNGS OUT. PEOPLE, GET OVER IT!! IT'S A CAR FOR CHRIST SAKE. FURTHERMORE, SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR. EVER HEARD THE SAYING.........WHAT SOMEONE ELSE EATS DOESN'T MAKE YOU S#!T? IT'S ALL ENTERTAINMENT. CRIS PUTS PICS AND UPDATES ON HERE FOR OUR PERSONAL ENJOYMENT. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T CLICK ON THIS POST. AS I STATED PREVIOUSLY, THERE ARE SOME THREADS ON HERE I THINK MAKES THE LEAST BIT OF SENSE AT ALL, NOR DO I LIKE HOW SOME ARE BUILDING THE CAR, BUT I KEEP MY MOUTH CLOSED AND DON'T SAY A WORD. :snapout:
>>>Sorry, Jody, Scott, Tony and Skip (the mods.) I'm now off of my soap box. It's just it's old to still be talking about an original "V" code car being cut up 30 posts later. Geesh!! :shakehead: |

I get that there are valuable cars out there, but if everyone saved those valuable cars we would not have the incredible aftermarket we have and great sites like this to see those parts be put on cars by great shops like yours. I am really looking forward to the end result. |

After all,.....this is a PRO-TOURING car site. All cars are welcome, but the main passion here and I think the guys will agree, is the pro-touring and build aspects of these great, great cars!

We got the trunk & the rear bumper pcs in fiberglass fitted… Trunk was pretty good fit.. Bumper was not too bad with the new aluminum fabricated mounting brackets.. We also got some rear spoiler concepts that we are playing with.. Yesterday we simulated some wind tunnel drag thru Solid Works.. Also playing around with an idea on active aerodynamics..
