So, the cadaver went off to find out what's hanging out under that red paint on Tuesday... was supposed to be done that day, but Scott's still waiting...

While that's off, he's been playing with some of the firewall mods. We bought a DSE panel and a wiper motor to move under the driver's fender. He also bought more body pucks to mount the rear IRS.

For some reason, the slave cylinder kit didn't line up, so Scott added a double capture bracket to allow some shifting. He also made a mount for the hydro boost that's going in, so we can stop reliably.

Did it look in tough shape ?

No, but we found more than a 1/2" of bondo in the quarters. I have to do it right.

That's for sure, would suck to have it come out later. Oh! Those are some nice looking parts.

The Media blaster has always jumped right on thing's for me. He had a shop full of project's. It's super cold here that maybe a factor. Now it's raining and suppose to keep raining for the next 4 or 5 days. Just want to get the Camaro back home & :gitrdun:

Needs both quarters, trunk drop offs and a brake light panel. There was a bit of small rust and some really bad repairs.

He also installed the DSE firewall panel and the DSE wiper motor over under the driver's side fender. The firewall should get cleaner, with random holes getting filled in, etc.

I will get inside the car and strip out all the old crappy wiring ( just wanted to get back on the car after a week & half layoff of media blasting & eatin turkey). Get some panels fabricated to fill the hole's where the old owner run all the wiring from. I think every single wire had it's own hole. There's like 52 holes to cover or weld shut. Raingear doesn't make a kit for the 2nd gens. So we are using a DSE wiper kit supplied by B&B Classic's. Thank's Billy.

The DSE kit looks like a nice set up. I wish I had got to put the wiper motor under the fender but it never happened. It cleans the firewall up so nice.

So, I recived a few PMs about the cage.

It's a stainless tiger cage done by Ride Tech. All 304 stainless, all tig welded. Some say they can do better, I love their products and engineering that goes into them. No paint needed.

Also, the reason we blasted: I knew there was shoddy body work under there. It was a 10' car. What is showing in bare metal is actually dangerous. New quarters, new trunk drop offs and a new rear valence all needed... the rear frame rails were junk too. Scott has his work cut out for him (pun intended) and will rebuild the rear rails to mount the IRS.
