Just one more update for now.
I purchased an AC hose crimper to try and get my system buttoned up. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...556757ad0c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7b2432902c.jpg Don’t mind the Firetruck and Ambulance in the background. I don’t have a vice much less a work table in my garage. Some things I have to do while on duty during my down time hours. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7a91978441.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...40ffbd1a58.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ae1d40bb72.jpg I learned from Marty to put the tape back from the fitting so I would not have to worry about digging it out after crimping. Thank you, sir! Getting the hoses installed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ff2083a565.jpg I just noticed my pet moth died as well. R.I.P little buddy. Remember, I will be going back through everything to refine the finished product. Plenty of clearance for the hinge when the hood is closed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f028044aff.jpg This is how I’m thinking the lines will be ran on the fenderwell. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...95ee612994.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...23d9685752.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I ended up going with the smaller more flexible lines in the EZ clip setup.
This is so nice routing lines....Saw it on a youtube video right before I put mine on with the typical hoses. https://www.lsxconcepts.com/products...erant-hose-kit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=536BqlO3AWI |

I think one of the next big ventures is going to be the exhaust. As my insomnia was in full force last night, I pondered over how I was going to run it with the frame bracing. I came to the decision of cutting the frame bracing out completely, running the exhaust and then reinstalling the bracing with channels for the exhaust to run through. It sounds good in theory. I'll have to see if it comes to fruition. Hope all is well for you, brother. Get up with me sometime when you're not too busy. |
Introducing BISKWIK
Yup…. I was left alone and unsupervised again! [emoji51]
I went ahead and started removing the underbracing so the exhaust could be ran. I have a plan to plumb the exhaust and then add in the underbracing with channels for the exhaust. We shall see how it turns out. I may have to completely scrap the bracing, but I’m hoping not. Left alone and with power tools. Here goes nothing! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8513a12985.jpg A little unfortunate collateral damage. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...218f1a4e09.jpg So much room for activities!!! Seriously though, it will be nice to have the exhaust tucked where it should be or at least close to it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...80fb73f77b.jpg Rough cleanup https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d6db136ac4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4f6d1df9e8.jpg Cleaned up enough to run the exhaust and go from there. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0ea4113e1b.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...34b811cf11.jpg Just remember, I’m doing all this with the car on jack stands and me laying on the floor. 100% garage (floor) build!! Hi Matt,
You're welcome and I have learned so much from this board that I feel the need to share what I learned and the mistakes I make. Quote:
Poor little guy I hope you find his family and give him a proper send off. Quote:

I am starting the fun part of mocking up the exhaust.
I purchased a Magnaflow 2.5” Stainless Builder’s Kit https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b6dd9ac7ab.jpg Now the daunting task of fitting this under BISKWIK. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0eff32afd7.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Starting the process..
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d0712c26ff.jpg I used a section of the straight pipe to line up on the bottom of the frame to check my ground clearance. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ee2069df9b.jpg Fitting the minor bend before the turn towards the back. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ce861d06b3.jpg Making the turn back. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...be1853fb90.jpg Plenty of clearance for the tire. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4f502d8804.jpg Who knew Painter’s tape would be so versatile?!?! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...37068af0b3.jpg I used the boxes to assure there was plenty of clearance for the exhaust since they are right at the height of the bottom of the frame.
