Well being a farmer I know that is a terrible thing to do..(summer fallow that is)
But that being said a farmer also has about the same time frame for his build... although a farmers car will probably be nothing of the caliber this car is.

GregWeld 01-09-2011 06:21 PM

LOL --- Ha! Ha! I just had to toss that in there!

KPC67 01-09-2011 06:52 PM

Haha no worries

I hope it makes it to colombus this build is awesome put by so many others watching the thread maybe hes painting it right now and will have it ready for the colombus show i really want to see it in person the great part is that you can look at the finished product and know every little detail was hand built one off now thats saying something and the great thing about following builds on here is the shops and individuals that post them for all of us to see and draw inspiration from

my current build 1970 duster

Well, I read all the way through this looking for an answer to just one question-havent seen it yet.

Im extremely interested in using a drive shaft instead of a torque tube in a build Im embarking on (the corvette wheelbase doesnt even come close to the one on my ride). So Im wondering on how you guys hooked it all up. Were all the parts custom fabbed or are they available aftermarket? Any pics? Also, most of the pics in the latter part of this thread arent showing up.

Thanks,
Corey

Not just you -- sometimes they move the photos off the host (like Photobucket) or let the account "lapse" then the links no longer work.

Marty doesn't love me anymore!! :_paranoid

The pics uploaded via imageshack should still be ok, but I need to go through and try and fix pictures that are missing now. It's all Marty's fault LOL

edit - fixed the missing pictures

I think Tim has been hanging out with Greg too much, he thinks he is retired.
Other projects have slowed this project down. However things are starting to move forward again.
The back of the car has been laser scanned to design some one off stuff.

xtreme 12-14-2011 04:34 AM

Waiting for this one to get going again! Definitely inspired by this one

tjbruning 12-15-2011 12:56 PM

Long overdue updates- Tim had Forgeline widen the front wheels to accommodate a 275 tire, pedal assembly in the works, wheel tubs, and "custom" exhaust and mufflers.

exhaust teaser pics - plenty of clearance, and all tucked up inside the frame...

Last time I talked to Tim he hadn't done much to the car

He picked up a 1st gen firebird that he was going to "tinker with" but keep a driver.... And you know how that goes...:)... So he's been working on that alot

I think between full time work, side jobs, family life, some health issues and a not having a car to enjoy driving, the challenger got put on hold for now

rtwind 03-31-2013 12:02 AM

Nice Build! Those are some massive tires!

Brads70 04-25-2013 07:35 PM

Bummer it got put on hold!

johns cuda shop 04-28-2013 03:54 PM

Same here :popcorn2:

windycitychev 06-10-2015 10:12 AM

Man, I must say this is one sick build. I know last time anyone asked about this was back in 2013 but are there any updates as what happened to the build

MoparCar 06-10-2015 04:52 PM

I agree. This thing was headed for a SMOTY contender spot at the time. I wish it would get finished.

DRJDVM's '69 06-11-2015 08:25 AM

Tim still has the car, but last I heard the project was still DOA.....just lots of time and $$ to finish and Tim has other things going on in his life that are priorities....

Tim still wants to get the Challenger done. His 69 Firebird is getting ready to start body work.
