Good Morning,
Dave worked on the Dash this week. It's starting to look like a dash again. First - mounted behind the dash is the Highway 22 Fuse Box. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_001.jpg You can see the Vent mounted on the Passenger Side of the truck. We are still going to install one more vent for the Passenger highlighted in black. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...10_21_005e.jpg Here is a close up of the Drivers Side. All of the switches have been reverse mounted. The goal is to keep the dash ultra smooth. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_003.jpg This is what the backside looks like. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_010.jpg Dave had to change the way we mounted the dash so the hardware wasn't visible. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_006.jpg |
The MSD box is mounted in it's new home.
http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_007.jpg One of the members on syty.net sent this trick piece. http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=42425 This one will be installed on project 663 http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._10_21_012.jpg More to come next week. |
i like that upper grille insert..really helps to clean things up....progress is looking good!
|
i'm looking into having the grille made in fiberglass and having the top completely closed off.
|
Looking really great.Always look forward to your updates.
|

Good Mornig All,
I would like to welcome Vintage Air to the sponsor list. We look forward to working with them on this project. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...intage_air.jpg We wanted a control unit for the dash that would work with our project. It's ultra clean and simple looking. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album...491200_RUA.jpg Previously installed in the Vintage Air Heat, Cool, Defrost Gen II Mini http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._03_10_030.jpg More to come next week. Seems like i just spent a couple hours ordering parts this week. |
Good Morning All,
Well, this will be the last update for a couple weeks as the big day is Tuesday Morning. Pictures don't do it Justice. Man are these tires huge! http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_002.jpg Notice the tire is almost the same height as the body line at ride height. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_008.jpg Just like the picture. PS that is one bad viper hanging in the air. About 300k invested so far. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_010.jpg just a quick side shot. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_011.jpg okay last one i promise http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_012.jpg |
Now you can see what the chassis looks like.
http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_014.jpg Here is all of the Air Ride Equipment http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_016.jpg Dave installed the new Vintage Air Billet Defrost Ducts. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_018.jpg Underside view. The ducts are temporally being held in by sheet metal screws. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_019.jpg A little more trimming was needed on the dash so it would clear the door panel. Although we are not using the stock door panels they were used as a guide http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_020.jpg |
Yep that's a bunch of guy's looking at an upside down bed
http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_021.jpg Yep that's the stink can there Dad. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_022.jpg Dave also trimmed out the inner fenders and closed the gap. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_04_023.jpg That's all for this week. I hope to be back online by the weekend. |
Looking good Marty. That first pic is a little scary. As it looks like there would be some serious rubbing issues with the tank. But the side shots clear it up!! Those things are HUGE. I own a 2003 Dime, and couldn't imagine those things on my truck....on second thought...yeah I could :unibrow:
edit: I also like the way the roll cage ties to the cab very trick! |
yep they are monsters. I can't wait to see them rolling down the street.
|
Good luck and a speedy recovery Marty! We'll all be anixously waiting the next update.
|
Unreal truck!!!! Attention to detail is amazing!!! WOW!!!
|

Was able to talk right after surgery - Very happy Biopsy of my lymph node came back clear Still waiting to here back on the thyroid. But so far so good just surfing the internet looking at sema pics |
Glad you're feeling pretty good now, Marty!
You're still in my thoughts & prayers! Get well soon. |

|
|

Hi, just started following your build, glad to heard your doing fine and congrates and the magazine spread.
|
Okay i'll post some pics - what the heck
I'm my absence Dave was kind enough to order all of the stainless steel fitting for the brakes. All $600.00 of them I hope this includes the brake lines. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_018.jpg Kevin (who's Kevin) retapped the Masters so we could use these fitting on the them. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_010.jpg Once again Kevin put a couple tabs on the frame for the brake line. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_009.jpg You can't really see the thru-frame piece but it's really cool. ps - this is the rear brake line. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_017.jpg |
Yep Kevin welded a tab on the Manifold to hold the FPR
http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_001.jpg Pictures not that good but Kevin welded on the Billet Specialties oil bung. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_003.jpg One more Bung on the front of the intake Manifold. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_004.jpg Kevin Made the lids for the Intake boxes. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_007.jpg Okay I think Derrick made the little bracket and Kevin welded it. |
We just wanted to add something simple to keep the bar from moving up and down.
http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_014.jpg Dave finished the dash sides. It actually looks like a factory dash at first glance. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_012.jpg Kevin made the holes adjust able for the remote wiper so we could get the wiper arms perfectly centered. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_011.jpg Okay last picture and it's really hard to see what was done. Dave welded in a piece of tubing to the inner fender to add some strength. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._11_16_019.jpg I hope everyone had a great Thanks Giving and more pics to come next monday. |
Looking great Marty. It seems as though every little detail that can possibly be taken care of has. Truely a TOP NOTCH build!!!!
|

Here is the start of the Billet Hood Hinges. I want to Thank Paul Kromray for doing the CAD Drawing and Chicago Water Jet for cutting them out for me. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._12_05_001.jpg We still have to shape the top piece and weld it. http://www.syborgtwinturbo.com/album..._12_05_002.jpg |
Here is the new Stereo System that is going in the Truck.
All parts have been donated by Village Auto - Thanks Again Don.
