I have been shooting a little with my ultra-wide, I have to upload them to my computer and see if anything is worth keeping :) |
Not mine anymore but it just got a new owner. This one's for you Mike! Take good care of it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...portBeauty.jpg I've always liked these too. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...GSVertical.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...S/EyeCandy.jpg |

Race |
Unloaded the car before dawn yesterday at Sebring so I could get a pit area and not have to be out in the sun. I took this as the sky started to light up. Now if only I was a better photographer and I'd known the hood was open! I didn't see the hood till I uploaded the photos to photobucket last night.

A nice shot John!
Race cars have their hoods open a lot - so the hood up is appropriate... See! I covered for ya! Do you race with the TT II wheels? Or do you change to something else? |
I use the TT IIs on track. Centerlines at the strip. The front tires in that pic are temporary. They aren't ideal for track use and the car understeers with them. I'll be swapping them back to some stricky DOT Rs soon.

I've always thought the Cammer was one of (if not THE) coolest Engines ever built. |

Fairlane was taken to Holman Moody in 66 and had the SOHC 427 installed along with Nascar brakes, steering etc as a badass street car. |

Here's a colorful shot from the Can-Am pits, the car was under a red awning that gave the stacks a reddish tinge. I regret that a hard drive crash wiped out my higher res version of this pic.

Tony Kanaan off track excursion
How about this shot I took of a little Tony Kanaan off track excursion.... Now, Larry (PT.COM) can see why those ROCKS are nasty little buggers!! Look at them flying under the car under the rear driver suspension!

That is a great pic Greg! You never get that kind of detail while just watching on TV or even at an event. Having pics like these really shows what kind of abuse these cars go through.

I've always liked seeing (and hearing!) cars on the rollers... this is one of my Nomad - while Bob Ream of Imagine Injection (Phoenix) throws some fuel at it... after I installed his 8 stack EFI intake. The car is a 427 Dart Little M Block... and made only 489 ft lbs of TQ at the rear wheels.
