Did I miss it before or did you also reinforce the mounting of the torque arm to the housing?

Dang this thing is gonna be right at home in Watts.

Considering the caliber of beads you're laying down with the MIG............who cares!

Nice work being done there Mr Fab!

For the newbs to welding --- learn to recognize PULSE MIG....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Not taking anything away from Bret's welding -- but those nice little stack of dimes come from SKILL and using Pulsed MIG.

Correct me if I'm wrong Bret.

You guys talking about the lower link brackets welds right?

252 is a great welder.

GW, I wish I had a pulsing MIG and/or a TIG... But I was to cheap when I purchased my water cooled Syn 250 TIG, and my Miller 252 is just that. Those MIG welds that look like layered beads similar to the TIG rod being dipped is a process I learned by watching Gary Steen from Steen Chassis. He would never tell me his secrets, but I sure did watch him closely. Learned a lot in the year I worked there.

Sorry Buddy, that is just some MIG welding skill you see in those pictures. Lol.

WELL THEN I'M COMING DOWN TO LEARN FROM YOU!!

I don't know what the technique is - but it's awesome. My welds don't look like that.

Yep... I said he has skills! I've never been able to set my MIG up to do stacks like that. The pulse versions can make your MIG welds look like that. But Brett has a technique down pat. I'm seriously jealous!

The only issue with Pulse is again the set up, we have a pulse machine, and find it is WAY hotter weld. you also need to use 90/10 gas. My welder who is awesome, actually can make the regular mig look better than the pulse. The pulse looks more like a weld you would see on a muffler system than the "stack of dimes" we actually don't use the pulse mode at all.
It is funny the last welder we had complained about the machine, the wire was all wrong, needed anti spatter spray, and someone to hold his hand, the new guy, don't care what ever wire is laying around, no spatter spray required oh and can weld 2x faster than the other guy 3x the quality with the exact same machine. and then there is me......... lol

It's like GOLFING.... it's not the clubs or the ball. You can either Golf or you can't.

:welder: I can't do either.
